If you take away the beatifull architecture and the oceanic vista's, Rapture basically is like a never ending mall, or an International Airport transit zone.
Thank you for stopping to listen to all the conversations and explore and make discoveries. That's the whole reason I'm watching this, to see what I missed when I played it. Ignore all the people that say you're wasting time listening in on the lore and shit. This is a walkthrough, not a speedrun. Why would you even bother watching this if not for the story?
As soon as I saw No Commentary I wanted to kiss you on the lips you wonderful man. Why do people insist on ruining gameplay with their big foghorn voices?
Mike Hunt Because they're all dicks. I understand the purpose of commentary in some instances like multiplayer games, but it just feels disrespectful when they make jokes that ruin the mood of a singleplayer game. Now if the commentary isn't intrusive and keeps the mood intact then that's fine, but... Let's be honest, how many commentators can actually do that these days?
TheRadBrad isn't as bad as other commentators. I'd go on to say that he is the best Commentary Let's Player because unlike everyone else, he's fun to listen to while game play is in the background.
I could never live in one either, I have a massive fear of the ocean. I'd love to live in a sky city like Columbia though. Minus the racism and poverty though.
Thank you, thank you. I got halfway through someone else's walkthrough and their commentary was so mind-numbingly boring and unnecessary that I had to get one without any.
okay guys, anyone here me out, do you ever wonder how sander cohen knows about elizabeth "she will take you where you dont wanna go" thing, its because sander cohen has been to columbia, if you ever played the bioshock infinite, its in the early part of the game where you are heading to the angel tower where elizabeth is being held, along the way , theres a house where you could jump on and stop for a while, and if you get inside, theres a girl being interviewed by a cop, and she is actually describing Sander Cohen, and if you look closer, there is also a sketch that resembling sander cohen, i have been searching in the internet if i might not be the only one who notice it but i havent found any article that pertains on my findings. if you dont believe me, see it for yourself by playing the game again and pay attention.
Love that you took the time to explore, but I hate how some parts feel like you were rushing. You'd miss something and I'd want to scream "WAIT GO BACK YOU MISSED THAT!!!" Almost painful watching you
Living in rapture would be beautiful. I have had this video saved on my RU-vid after playing and beating bioshock infinite on ps3 way back when, and i have a pc now and beat bioshock infinite yesterday, and started playing burial at sea, so I can now removed this video from my saved folder. Thanks for uploading this and being with me for all of these years. Goodbye
Good playthrough. I like how you stopped to take time to listen to the background characters and other things. Most players would just rush to get to the story.
am I the only one who loves the idea of this but is slightly disappointed like its rapture why have the skyhook/air grabber why are the plasmid pictures still the vigor ones its just the little things that make it different from bioshock 1/2 that kind of aggravates me
at the end of bioshock infinite Elizabeth showed us the many different lighthouses and the many different bookers and Elizabeth’s. So my theory is that this is just a different booker but not a different Elizabeth. That’s why Elizabeth calls the thing a sky hook instead of an “air grabber”.
Hi there Ian, really appreciate you uploading the walkthrough, especially one with no intrusive commentary which is refreshing to see for those who just want to enjoy the game! Just some constructive criticism: it'd be hugely appreciated if you played through the game before doing the walkthrough so you can learn the layout, objectives etc. It can be really irritating to see you clearly walk past an objective without realising; it kills a lot of the enjoyment of the walkthrough since you spend a lot of time lost and running around the same environments because you don't know where to go! Hope you take these comments on board, then I'd happily come back and watch your walkthrough for part 2 as this was otherwise excellent.
As someone who has an understanding of Quantum Mechanics, Multiverse Theory, and Schrodinger's Theory; I have my own interpretation of the end of BioShock : Infinite and BioShock : Burial At Sea. Infinite and Burial At Sea happened at the same time. At the end of Infinite Elizabeth drowned Booker to prevent Comstock from ever existing. Due to a Quantum Superposition there was still one Columbia, Booker, Anna, Elizabeth, and Comstock. Comstock bought Elizabeth from Booker, Booker changed his mind after the deal, and he and Comstock had a fight over Elizabeth. This led to a branching of events that occurred in Burial At Sea and Infinite. In one dimension Booker won the fight and Elizabeth got her head cut off; and in another dimension Comstock won and Elizabeth got her finger cut off. In one dimension Comstock fled to Rapture to escape his guilt and forget his crime; and in another he kept Elizabeth in Monument Tower and planed to destroy the Sodom Below. Elizabeth went to kill the escaped Comstock; and Robert and Rosalind sent Booker back through a tear to Columbia to end the final Columbia and kill Comstock. This explains why the note on the Columbia Lighthouse door read "Booker Dewitt, bring us the girl and wipe away the debt. This is you last chance!", how Elizabeth was able to travel to Columbia through a Tear, why Rapture was already in ruins at the end of Infinite. At the ending of Infinite Booker refused the baptism, that created another reality where Booker accepted the baptism, that created another reality where Booker rejected the baptism, and that created so on into infinity. Elizabeth drowned Booker at the end of Infinite to prevent Booker from ever making the choice and eliminate the possibility of any Comstock ever existing. Elizabeth is dead in one dimension and alive in one dimension. Robert Lutece "Lived, living, and will live." Rosalind Lutece "Died, dying, and will die."
Awesome that you did this, but anyone know why it got so silent when hitting the...iunno, 13 14 min mark? Even though he talked to people, there was no sound up until the recording started playing, then it was only the recording, nothing else in the background while other people were talking. Was it something to do with copyright?
this half assed lets play friken audio cuts out for like 2-3 min at a time steam notifications and skype noises every where dude turn off all your shit if you're going to record for youtube kinda ruins the setting
Bioshock beats Bioshock Infinite hands down . Even looking at this it's so much action/fighting . Original Bioshock was so well paced for action/suspense. I couldn't finish Infinite it didn't grab me and like I say bored me abit with the gun ho approach hence im watching this vid cos the DLC story intrigued me cos ita a semi prequel
I feel like some sort of midway point between the gameplay here and that in the original Bioshock is right where it should have been; the lack of resources, the desperate scrounge for those few bullets and resources that could mean your life, which Bioshock and Bioshock 2 fail to deliver on, coupled with the non-linear areas, and hacking to turn the area into somewhere you have some control over. I have, over the last year or so, written down LOADS of tweaks to Bioshock gameplay to make it more challenging, perhaps unfairly so. It passes the time.
47:43 That door doesn't opens to me. Could it be because I need to hear the conversation between the two while it opens? I heard that conversation but I continued exploring instead of heading to that door.
nice video. I will say though that its kinda annoying when you retrace your steps or have to hear what EVERYONE is talking bout. Besides that, good stuff
Thanks for no commentary on the video.. But man.. You are awful at this game haha Sorry had to be said.. Once again though.. Thanks for the play through with no commentary! What amazing DLC! :)
At the end of Biohock Infinite Elizabeth kills baby Booker to prevent Comstock from ever existing, thus removing herself from existence as well. All Elizabeths disappeared. Why did one remain?
***** But that is the problem. At the end of Bioshock Infinite they said that it would only end if Comstock never even lived, then when Comstock is killed during baptism we see all Elizabeths disappearing. There is no other explanation as to why they all disappear, only that they succeeded and she will never be born. But the fact that both Elizabeth and Comstock still exist in Burial at Sea means they didn't succeed. But then why did all the other Elizabeths disappear?
Bindair Dundat If could be that the ones disappearing were from the timelines where Booker became Comstock after the baptism. While like ***** had said, other Comstocks would be born for other reasons, thus those Elizabeth's wouldn't disappear since the drowning didn't effect their Comstock.
If I understood correctly, for every Elizabeth, there is a Comstock as for every Comstock there is an Elizabeth. The ending of Bioshock Infinite does show us the Elizabeths disappearing after having drowned Booker to prevent him from becoming Comstock. But that ending is open to interpretation since the screen goes black before we actually see the last Elizabeth gone. So we can assume that she continued living. And that fact that she is alive and is well in Burial at Sea is because there was still ONE Zachary Hale Comstock left, the one who fled to Rapture to forget his actions and guilt towards the severing of baby Anna's head. As I said, as long as there is one Comstock alive (not DeWitt, since that would be more associated to Anna), there shall be one Elizabeth. And it seems that this is regardless of the universe. Not sure but that's how I understood it.
