@@omarsabir1210 People hate infinte the same reason dark souls fans hate dark souls 2. Its hated not because its objectively worse, its just hated because its different.
I don't care what anyone says, bioshock infinite has the best, most masterfully constructed, beautifully executed, and downright immersive prologue sequence in all video game history. And this track ties it all together in a perfect bow
10 years later and this is still true... it always will be. Columbia, in the intro, is the closest thing to a "heaven" that we'll ever see. Simply amazing.
I wish I could erase my memory of this game and be able to play it for the first time again. Seeing Columbia for the first time, me and Booker would have the same reaction.
I had played Bioshock 1 and 2 the previous week so the underwater/dark/moody/claustrophobic vibe of the previous 2 were fresh in my mind. To go from that to something so bright and expansive really strengthened the effect of that opening scene for me. I imagine I wouldn't have been as affected by it if I hadn't played the previous 2 games so recently.
What I love about this music is that you can hear the sound of the piano keys rising up back to their original positions after they are pressed. It is a joy to hear that, a real touch of immersion in the music. It makes it sound so real.
It's a literal holy city in the clouds. It's supposed to be a twisted mirror of Heaven. Fitting, since the ironically named Rapture is beneath the surface, and always felt like some sort of Hell or apocalypse.
I envy anyone who gets to experience this masterpiece of a trilogy for the first time. It is just mesmerizing seeing both Rapture and Columbia for the first time. There will never be anything like it.
I can remember my eyes becoming wet when the capsule floated down and you saw the view of the city. I knew it was a good idea never to watch trailers so I had less of a clue about anything. I loved this game sooo much.
This is best example of what it would sound like to die and then going to heaven I've ever heard. I'll never forget that calming piano as you rise above the clouds and see Columbia for the first time. This game really did something to me.
I recently replayed infinite after hearing people call it awful because I didn't remember it being terrible, and I genuinely loved replaying it and had the stupidest grin for most of it. Especially the beginning and getting to walk around Columbia and take in its beauty, and the songbird chase is probably one of my favorite moments too
The Last of Us fanboys despise BioShock Infinite for some reason, and one thing I hear them make fun of is this song. But first, play the game. You'll be curious, then enchanted, then excited, then scared, then confused, then bawling. Then wait a while. Don't do anything distracting. Just think. Then listen to this. Memories flow back like waves of emotion-filled nostalgia you've never felt, you feel empty yet complete, dissatisfied yet content, sad yet happy. It is all over, yet always there for you to return to. You can see characters that have passed a second time, watch Columbia turn to hell a second time, and feel all of it again and again, remembering exactly what effect this song had on you. Every bit of the game is summarized into the peaceful and subtle notes of a piano, and it is all worth it. Only Ken Levine can pull this off, folks. Come back when you do that, The Last of Us.
That's really unfortunate that people can't love two amazing games. I'm a fan of both. I know some people who played the original Bioshock didn't like Infinite as much, but I think the trilogy is amazing, and I'm very sad to see Irrational Games go.
if this soundtrack was played as i'm driving my car i would just let go of my steering wheel and everything would be in slow motion and peaceful as im driving of the cliff. i cant think of any other way to go than this.
This just reminds me of how beautiful Columbia is, and how much it breaks my heart to see so much torn down in this game. Not just Columbia, but Elizabeth’s spirit and, eventually, Booker.

hearing this song reminds me of my birthday, I just got the game cause I wouldn't shut up about it after playing it at my friends house and I fell in love with the game I played it everyday after school
i fucking hate this game story and gameplay, but each time i replay it and hear this song as the window of the capsule clears and the first piano notes start, my heart and my eyes break into tears, it might be an overated game but the visuals and art direction of it are the best part, (at least is not burial at sea)
I was wondering, the piano in this song really seems like it is playing a scriptural, but I just cannot pinpoint exactly what song it is playing a variation of.
When I heard this song for first time, it didn’t make me cry, but I felt something strange.. But now, l after burial at sea, this song makes me cry like a bitch.. IDK why
