I produced a documentary back in January of this year, I don’t normally deal with documentary making as I’m not particularly a filmmaker, however, I felt that it was important to create this one as the subject is very close to my heart.
I just would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to Scott Hillier who was brave enough to come forward for this documentary and let me tell his story. He’s been very supportive with this documentary since I decided to produce it. I would like to thank everyone else that participated in the documentary as you were all very cooperative and willing to help me, especially the mental health charity ‘ Hear Us ‘ who kindly allowed me to film what they do.
To my little helpers ( Scott Booth & Charles Warner Whyte ) thank you for helping me with everything that could’ve easily gone wrong, you guys made the week a lot easier for me!
This documentary is very relevant in society today as stigma with mental health is still a problem, it’s improving slightly but a lot more still needs to be done. If you are affected by any of the issues in the documentary, if possible, seek advice and help from mental health charities or your local GP. It’s important to talk.
It’s 15 minutes so grab a coffee and packet of custard creams and enjoy the documentary!
