Thanks for watching - glad you enjoyed it! It's definitely worth doing. I'll get some more videos up sometime about planning, gear, etc. and my other adventures.
Congratulations on finishing Te Araroa and making these videos. I have thoroughly enjoyed following along with you, and look forward to seeing what you do in the future.
Bloody brilliant. Congratulations Jared, what a marvelous achievement. Maybe a video that includes mum and dad...they did some hard yards in the support section of your journey. Looking forward to the best and worse video. Once again, congratulations, epic effort.
Congratulations Jared. Something of a pity that the last part of the track is a mud wallow, but you were excited anyway and you got some great views when you were out of the plantations. We weren't far away from your route a couple of weeks earlier - we stayed at the same camp in Riverton, travelled some of the same roads in more comfort in our campervan, and went through Tuatapere. It is a beautiful part of the country. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. Cousin John.
Hi John, thanks for your support all the way through. It's a shame we were so close on a few occasions, but didn't get to meet up. I will definitely be back down in the South Island though - it's such a beautiful place.
Awesome man. Coming out onto the ocean at Colac Bay was super emotional for me. Can't imagine how it felt for you having done the whole trail! Hope you're enjoying post trail rest. Cheers
Congratulations!!!! You have achieved an absolutely epic walk with all the challenges along the way. I have enjoyed reading your adventure so much. I dream of hiking this trail myself and who knows it may happen - maybe in sections. Go well young man.
Congratulations Jarod🎉 Your videos have been the highlight of our Sunday afternoons for months!! We’ve really loved your consistently great footage and daily commentary. We’ve learnt so much from you and are looking forward to our own TA adventure 2024/2025. Thank you! Donna and Paul- Australia.
Well done Jared, what an adventure, I've enjoyed your videos - a lot of extra time and effort goes into making them no doubt, all the best in your future endeavors young fella, Geoff
Hi, no I keep meaning to make a video about my gear, but can't seem to find the time! In terms of food, most of the way I ate heat and eat curries (just from the supermarket) and rice, and for the longer South Island sections I took Local Dehy dehydrated food (I am vegetarian).
Well done! Woodlaw track - the steepest on Te Araroa? Look forward to your best-of and worst-of videos. For me Breast Hill and Waiau Pass were the best and the Longwoods wins the worst by a long shot! Well done again!
Thanks for watching! Yes the Woodlaw Track was definitely steep - it doesn't look like it in the video. It sounds like we've had a similar experience - Breast Hill and Waiau Pass were highlights for me as well and I don't even know how the Longwoods can be called a trail!
Hey bro thanks for sharing your journey with us( Ham toastie guy again) it was funny that day i was driving back to invercargill that day thinking, i knew that guy was vegetarian 🤔 was tripping me out until i literally got home and put your latest episode at the time😳 blew my mind😂. glad you achieved your goal 🙇🏽🙇🏽 bro happy travels🤟🏾
