Legend! I did a bike course with Birch. Sure I needed to learn some skills and he is easily the best instructor there is, but really just wanted to meet the legend himself…

Wow...I hope your buddy realizes what you went thru to get that out. I stuck my first new bike, 1973 yamy 360 Enduro, like that. Took 4 of us to get it out. Almost 50 years later I still ride . An 07 KTM super Enduro and a1090r. Thanks for posting and helping out your buddy: )

Lift the front tire and put a log underneath the frame (put the log across the rut) and use the log as a lever to pry the back free.

Brother, you like heavy bikes! DRZ-400 is heavy as I'll go. Got mine stuck in the mud flats in Utah. Had to walk out and come back the next day with a friend on a quad to get it out. I can't image pulling a DR-650 out. In any event, awesome videos you have.

Now I want to see Matt do a wheelie on a 1290!!

On matts offroad recovery,that yellow international 4x4 truck with 4wheel steering is so choice I'm fully in love with it.

Nice Chris. Matts Off Road Recovery is great. Took my Drz400 in there fully loaded with camping gear made the right decision to turn around before that spot. Glad I did.

Oh that NZ clay, I remember Thomson's Track many a times stuck up to the handlebars! breaking the back of the frame off trying to get it out

I've been stuck like that a time or two always a great felling to get unstuck, even if you have drag it on it's side.👍
