About the creators: Esther Coombs is a professional illustrator based in rural Kent. Her work often starts with observational black drawings, embracing a slightly wobbly quality of line, with a view to creating a polished but unique end result. Esther also illustrated the kids’ cookery books Kids Can Bake, Kids Can Cook and Kids Can Cook Vegetarian from Button Books. Susie Behar is a book editor with more than 25 years’ experience in children’s publishing. She has also written books on subjects including mental health, wellbeing, the countryside and the natural world. She lives in rural West Sussex, England, surrounded by farmland, open countryside and lots of birds, bees and bugs.
