Bird challenges Sepik elites 

With the late Grand Chief’s bones now back in the Sepik, there is a huge weight on the shoulders of the leaders of the Greater Sepik Region.
They were reminded of this by East Sepik Governor Allan Bird, while the late Grand Chief’s casket laid in state in the Provincial Assembly in Wewak, on Monday.
Governor Bird told leaders of the Greater Sepik Region, that they now carry the responsibility of leading the rest of the country, in ensuring PNG attains economic independence.
