I’ve had my canary for about a month now, and haven’t been able to get him to sing. I’ve been playing videos of canary’s singing and he still wouldn’t, but I just randomly started watching this video and he started singing like crazy!

Me too, in my city you get just one shelf dedicated to birds...rest of the huge shop id for dogs and cats. I get everything online, for good quality seeds I go to the next city.

I wish they had stores like this in Belgium. The shop takes well care of the birds. The birds had enough water and food, we're not crowed in a cage and I even saw toys in their cages! I wish all pet stores would do this

I loved this tour! It was amazing to see and hear so many canaries. My Bourke’s listened carefully to them but were completely silent during that part. Maybe they don’t speak canary. Looks like a wonderful store.

Hi Donna , you have just beautiful bird stores in Canada .I wish we had decent places like this. Boy! Would I have fun.Love hearing all those cheery birdie soundsLove love 💕 them all.I used to have done sweet cockatiels but I gave them to a friend of mine that lets his birds fly free because I got sooo frightened when they would have night frights.Do any of your tiles have night frights.They were soo scary to me and I worried sick about them.Anyway love 💕 your bird stores.Mine cannot compare.

My Cockatiels have not had night fright for a long time. Jingles and Willow have not had one yet as they are my newer Cockatiels. Monty is 14 and he a few but not for years.

awe, its so hard finding strawberry finch here, I want some so badly. Just subscribed to your channel. Found you while looking up information on budgies. I just had my first baby hatch, and I'm super excited. I also had my first DIS, which is sad. Hoping the last two eggs hatch out. Again thanks for the great content. You are by far one of the best bird owners I have ever seen.

Julie Horton Birds love noise. Silence means danger. All my birds chirping all at the same time. It's like being in the jungle. Noise means it's safe. They are happy.

I know you watch Marlene McCohen's parrot channel,too! Seen your post recently. After seeing her and seeing how you care for your birds, I just can't watch these birds (so many!) in cages. Leave that one alone for less troubled empaths! I wonder if these birds are coming from breeders? How do they wind up in this store? Thanks for all your kindness to our avian friends. namaste

This is a bird store. They can't be loose in the store. Most of the birds have homes lined up after the babies are weaned and not not in the store long. Also they board birds. Marlene has cages. Every bird owner has a cage for birds. These birds are in the cages for safety and waiting to find a home. Most of them are babies and need to be together as a flock to learn from each other.

@@Loveofpets Thanks. I've owned birds and understand the importance of the cage and 'engaged not caged'. From what you say, these are mostly babies. Good to know. To adopt from a breeder or rescue from a sanctuary is an age-old dilemma. So many creatures in need of adoption,so many breeders offering young, pedigree pets -dogs,cats,birds. Do you adopt a pet from the humane society or do you buy one from a breeder? Only your heart can answer THAT one! However YOUR companions come into your home, you are giving them a happy,happy life!! namaste

Adoption is not for everyone, especially birds as they most likely have behavioral problems and need extensive work. I have adopted (rescued) many pets and got from breeders as well. I found my rabbits that were dumped outside. I rescued or adopted a betta from PetSmart that was dying. I have adopted birds that no body wanted or needed to be rehomed. Adopting a pet can be harder then adopting a child sometimes. I won't be accepted to adopt a bird because some of my birds had babies and they would call me a breeder and refuse me so I don't bother. If a bird needs a home and I am contacted and have space and time for the bird, I may take it in. I have two Bourkes that I got from someone else, some budgies, canaries, cockatiel and more. I offered my work place to a cat rescue to keep the cats for several years so I have definitely helped homeless animals. I don't really like the word rescue as too many people use that word when the animal was not a true rescue or adopt don't shop, I dislike those words. People have their reasons to buy a purebred dog because they want a specific breed and want a puppy to teach it from puppy hood. I looked into rescuing a poodle but it was a nightmare so I got my dogs from breeders. I did have a trial day with a mixed breed dog before I got my poodles and it did not go well, he bit my niece and tried to eat my birds. I could go on but it would take too long. Have a nice day.

Hello again. Glad I came across this video. It's very nice to see the huge selection of birds. Your birds at home are so nice to watch also. Could you tell me the size dimensions of the cage that you bought for the canaries, at around 8:40 of the video. I have 4 budgies, 2 cages; 2 in each cage (each cage measuring 15"X15") and wondering if that new cage for your canaries should be considered. My home, a little 2 bedroom villa is too small for a flight cage, which I wish could work in, but not going to happen. Would greatly appreciate your response and any recommendation.
