Happy birthday! My dad’s second new car was a 67 4 door t bird with a 390. He traded his first new car a 63 comet for it in September 66 when the t bird just was released. This was 12 years before I was born but he always told me if he could have 1 car back it’d be his 67 t bird.

Beautiful, and patriotic, color combination of these three birds! My favorite is the 1968 Thunderbird in Candy Apple Red and its dark silver Landau-style roof; Apart from the pretty and rare hubcaps on it with the center of it in teal. Overall though, all three are awesome! I found it quite interesting that the 1967 four-door Thunderbird model, in Wimbledon White, has the suicide type. And how good it looked, in the sunlight, that combination of Summer Rain Metallic Blue paint with the crisp white Landau roof of the Thunderbird "Combo 1967, 68 and 69" (special mention for its comfortable interior, with that large and enveloping back seat that looks like a living room sofa). Of course, the three seen from behind are quite similar. Finally, what a coincidence that your birthday is exactly on July 4, Independence Day of the United States (curious, since I also have my birthday on Independence Day of my country; August 10, to be exact. Coincidence? Hehe). Anyway, have a happy birthday, Lou! And blessings, from a distance!

I was in junior high when these came out, the parents of a friend of mine bought a '67 4-door and I rode in it many times in the back. I still prefer the clean looks of the '67 grille, much prefer the '67 wheel covers to those fake mag looking covers. That 4-door was the perfect beginning for the '69 Mark III.

Hey Lou!!! Oh man-this is so awesome, big bro! Happy Birthday LOOUUUUU!!! It looks like it was truly an awesome one, man. Surrounded by Kelly's gorgeous 'Birds. POW!!! SOCK!!! Easily yanked off my KO'd JV baseball jock stocking feet and you catch my dropping sneakers like an easy pop fly...AND...are you gonna bend forward to catch me falling right over your shoulder today? Or are you gonna let Kelly jump in and let him do the honors and have JV Johnny slung over his shoulder, my KO'd stocking feet dangling 🤪? HAHAHA that was always a fight since I was a kid-which of my brothers/buddies would carry me (they all wanted the job lol🤣) since I was perpetually knocked out and needed caring for 'cause of my hyper, chick crazy nature LMAO 🤪! Oh man...Kelly's 'Birds (English slang for chicks😜, very fitting) are always a sight to behold. I love the dash, the wood trim and real metal-such so gorgeous. Style in spades, man. And for Independence Day, all Red, White, and LOU...I man Blue!! Awesome sauce!! Ha! My floppy sneakers just got fired off my stockin' feet again and should reach Phoenix in 7 minutes!!! Two engine options in 1967. Front fender body dies in 67' are not the same as were used in 68' and 69'. 1969 did not have tail lights going all the way across, and as such, the rear end of the 1969 (lol, the blue one) has been changed out to that of a 68' or 67'. FORDOR (white car) has a 5" longer wheelbase.

Wow, most two doors I see of this vintage do not have the rear quarter window. In fact most of the ones that DO have the rear quarter window are not Landaus. These must be pretty rare. I think these are called Towne coupes or Towne Landau.

Your 1969 Thunderbird does NOT have the proper year taillights and rear panel. I've own three 1969 T'birds: 2 bought new 1) a 2-door HT w/buckets & console 2) a 4-door Landau Landau Brougham that we had for 29 years 3) a 2-door Sedan Landau parts car. All three had the correct 1969 separate taillamps with their bejeweled T'bird emblem that was a smaller version of that beauty in the middle of the front grille. You should have pointed out that discrepancy. JJS
