This video is mainly about grackles. They are one of my favorite bird species that visit the feeder. As some bird enthusiasts might know, they aren't picky eaters and will consume a large range of food, including berries, bugs, minnows, and seeds, and some of the more daring grackles will even steal food from other birds and even people.
Two little House Sparrows also appeared in this video. They would not allow other sparrows or bird species to visit when they descended upon the bird feeder. Size didn't matter-short or several times larger than them, the House Sparrows chased all the birds away. These sparrows are fearless little warriors. As a child, I recall seeing one sparrow chase off a black snack; my mom told me it was most likely trying to get to its babies since that particular sparrow had a nearby nest.
Towards the end of the video, you'll see the northern cardinals (male and female) stop by, and a blue jay also makes an appearance. While the jays do visit the birdcam feeders, they much prefer foraging the berries, nuts, and seeds on our four-acre property.
Wherever you are, I hope you are having a wonderful day!
