Thank you. I totally agreed with you, wild birds only come near you when they feel safe..So do birds are meant to fly freely in a natural environment rather than caged.
...everyone feeds the birds despite laws . I can understand the laws having been drawn up for public amenity issues but they get fed anyway . Figures for USA are 58 million people regularly feed wildlife such as birds and squirrels mainly . Experts have mentioned on radio programs I listen to that it doesn't appear to make them dependent . Here for birds like cockatoos , bronze wing pidgins , currawongs , rosellas , bower birds I know they're not dependent on me but likely others also feed them during down times .

One thing I find out very interesting is that birds are watching your everyday movements on the tree tops near by before they decide to drop in !! Just wonder what are they thinking ??
