Birding in Colombia, the third and final part of our trip, to Montezuma Rainforest Lodge in Tatama National Park. It was worth spending 3 days here, in the Choco bioregion, where there are many endemic and near-endemic species.
Our guide was Carlos Delgado and we also had local guide Fernando. In this site alone, we saw 154 species, increasing our trip total to 380 species. We did even better with the lifers, seeing 76, increasing the tip total to 192.
We can't always get photos of every species - our style is "birding with a camera" rather than dedicated photography. We try to show our favourite photos - sometimes a good photo of a common bird, sometimes a good bird even if the photo isn't so great.
