Thanks, currently using Nikon D500 + Nikkor AFS 200 - 500 f5.6.. Not too impressed with the D500 for low light

@@Birding-with-Brian What kind of ISO levels are you talking about? Are you also cropping in to subjects?

@@thailandwild4897 D500 4k video does crop a little.. iso is good up to 10000 for video but too noisy after 2000 for stills . My old d600 was full frame and i don't think i ever really shot over 1200 iso with great results

The reason for this behaviour is uncertain. It may be due to excitement or an aggressive display The fact that it happens when human observers are present suggests that it could be distress or an aggressive display towards humans
