Hehe, same boat here. :) 4K is big enough so we don't see the horrendous quality of RU-vid compression (unless there are some fast scenes).

Jacob + Katie Schwarz it's possible to upload in 4k and it's easy for people to watch it, you just didn't do it properly by the looks of it. Also, it's not in 60fps.

Why are RU-vid bothering with 4K when their maximum refresh rate is still half the speed of television, which has been 50 & 60 Hz since the 1930's? Apart from that, good work!

LongDic Nate So? Technoligy improves, it's the next step forward. Also you don't HAVE to upload 60fps, you can always use 24, 25, 30. I can watch this video in 4k without buffering, and I'm not even on the highest ISP.

These birds of prey are just so amazing and so beautiful. How long did it take you to get all the footage? It seems like it must have taken a long time. It's amazing how a video under 2 and a half minutes makes you stop, and just admire how amazing birds are, and just wildlife in general.

13.7GB @ ProRes422 LT. RU-vid recompresses any video you post anyways so i try to upload the most compressed file i can so that when RU-vid does their compression it renders the best results. Thanks David for following our work.

Jacob + Katie Schwarz Did you mean to say that you upload the most "Un-compressed" file or actually you upload the most "compressed" file? I use premiere and export out compressed H.264 for youtube but then again, I know there must be a sweet spot in the bit rate for optimal youtube rendition.

I'd love to see an Attenborough documentary with this footage quality. Shame we're not there yet as they have to leave cameras running for hours to capture some elusive animals which in this quality would make an absurdly large file, or use specialised equipment to film in the depths etc. One day tho...

This video is so beautiful I don't even know what to say! You make Red 4K look the best I have see yet. Mark Toia does great too. But I think you edge him out. I just can't wait to see what you will do when you get the 6K sensor!!! How did you capture all this? Are you working with someone to make a birds of prey documentary?
