We continue our FNQ journey into warmer & drier regions to see more birds & wildlife.
After leaving the wet & cool rainforests of the Crater Lakes region, we venture down the mountain into sunny Julatten (with a stop at Granite Gorge on the way). In Julatten, we base ourselves for 4 nights at Kingfisher Park.
There are lots of interesting birds around Julatten, Mount Molloy and the local swamp.
We also really enjoyed visiting Mount Carbine which had a totally different climate. The drier and more arid region are home to so many birds!!
