Great playing but i don't like Biréli's solid body guitar. I think it would sound much better with an archtop. I can't understand why he doesn't use one.
I think the tone would be vastly improved & warmed up with a quality tube amp set up well… Strats through ( most) solid state amps don’t translate .. harsh overtones in my experience . For some reason archtops seem to fare much better through Roland JC-120’s, Henriksen Buds, etc
Why is B.Lagene using a Stratocaster while Ulf Wakenius, well-guided, got a Benedetto -a real jazz guitar that is - with which he's playing marvels? Bireli's sound is just a set of clothes lines! Horrible!
