Adeline is sleeper level good. So happy to see one on a channel. Cards like Martyr's Bond (basically Gravepact in White) and Fanatical Devotion(free sac outlet that can regen Adeline or sac tokens with Clamp) are so good... Court Street Denizen and Gold Knight Commander are all stars in the deck as well.

She’s great! Love the deck, it curves so well and smashes so hard. Will definitively look for the martyr’s bond and got to put Angel of Destiny as a backup wincon, since I’ve always drowned in life.

When Kevin swung the Remorseful Cleric it should've triggered Adeline. Not much would've changed as the raging swordtooth would've wiped them out but he would've gained 3 more life.

That Gavi+ Ephara interaction has always been a favorite of mine in my Gavi deck. I try to get it out as consistently as possible in every game, the value is insane!

add a draw doubler like teferis ageless insight/alhammarets archive and you dont even need to cycle. Its amazing but you run the risk of becoming an open target. Still pretty fun to do!

Games like this are the reason why I didn't want Worldfire to be unbanned... it's the same when people Armageddon an empty board and the rest of the game is draw-go for the next 100 turns until someone draws out of it.

I'm surprised Mudstah didn't talk about that play in the recap...playing Worldfire like that really just flushed that whole game down the toilet. And I was not surprised at all that he got taken out just as soon as somebody else could get any kind of threat back on the board.

Agreed. It's such an uninteresting card, and while I get the arguments for and against it being banned, it's always such a snooze to see. The entirety of the game didn't matter and it was just about who could draw a 1 drop first.

@@gustavomartinsdesouza5548 i think that any other two card combo that wins the game on the spot does the same, like the ones with Dualcaster Mage for example and those are easier to do than casting this 9! mana spell. Only here the game doesn't end immediately in the most anticlimax way, you have a chance to be the lucky one with the good top decks

@@chiflika9710 There are a lot of two card combos and a lot of ways to stop them, and the game ENDS if you can't stop it. Worldfire is a SINGLE card that simply makes everything useless and makes the next 10 turns insufferable. Should've stayed banned =(

About the end game message of Zada and Warlord's Fury, Fury doesn't target so Zada would not have been able to do anything with that spell. It was very interesting to see Worldfire played exactly how I feared it would be in the same way I fear Armageddon, players can just use it to revert the game to a snail's pace with no plan to win afterwards which is very frustrating, good stuff from everyone else, Adeline was doing great work.

Oh, I never realized that Svella's ability ignores casting restrictions. Normally cards like that still put casting restrictions on the spells cast

I recently built Adeline and the more I play the deck the more I’m convinced that she might be sort of busted in low-mid level metas. Making 3 bodies a turn basically for free is so powerful. Another commenter mentioned Court Street Denizen and Goldnight Commander, I want to throw in Valor in Akros which has been another all star in the deck so far. And of course literally any anthem is really good with how quickly you can dump a ton of bodies into play.

Mantle of leadership is excellent. Put some wings on Adeline and she gets very big, very fast. I like using Dolmen Gate, Rune-tail Kitsunes Attendant and Sundial of the infinite to keep all Adeline's newly made tokens around and go both wide and tall!

I have a very similar deck for gavi that's focused on the token generation, if anything I'm suprised he doesn't run locust God according to his list. In my list I use fighter class plus skullclamp and ashnods alter to generate massive amounts of colorless and potential draw off tokens. Infact it's kinda funny but level 2 fighter class plus skull clamp and locust god is 0 mana draw your whole deck make a ton of tokens

Svella was very cool to see. I think it has potential, and Miguel’s version definitely increased my interest. I disliked the combo versions of Svella. The Gruul beat down version is way cooler.

yes and no. @ 4:09 "before leaving combat though kevin then finishes in the cleanup step by using reconnaissance to untap his creatures" it can't be used in the (literal) cleanup step (cleanup step is part of the endind phase) but on how it was meant and played it can be used in the "End Of Combat Step". After this step they wouldn't be attacking anymore

I think you misread Svella's ability. It's only casting a spell from the top four cards, not revealing. It's played correctly in game, but just the commentary

i play Armageddon but not world fire why? well my deck is really good at rebuilding its bord state ew land destruction i understand many people dont like it but to me world fire is much much worse at least Armageddon leaves you with cards in your hand and does not nuke your life total but i will say if your going to run Armageddon make sure to build your deck around it and only cast it when you have the win in your hand my playgroup is always fine with me running it in my deck because i only cast it when i can win off it instead of 20+ turns of draw pass its normally 3 turns to win or i fail as a magic player

Worldfire is a fine card. It's the great equaliser, and makes the game (without a follow-up spell) winnable by anyone afterwards. It's dumb, but the right level of dumb

I was definitely scratching my head when Worldfire of all cards was unbanned. I'm not against unbans. I'm not against fun or interesting cards, and people DO have the right to play the cards they want. The problem is that Worldfire, specifically, is NOT fun OR interesting! What exactly would be fun about it? It just takes an entire game in motion; all the boardstates, all the planning and interaction, and brings it to a screeching halt. A card that can single-handedly invalidate everything that's been done, and force the game into slow top-deck mode where the first person to squeak out a land and a 1 drop instantly wins is basically a poster child for cards that you WOULD ban.

Oh yeah ban hullbreacher and unban worldfire, it's so much better. If I were playing that game I would have been SO pissed to see it resolve. You basically play kingmaker with whoever drops the first land which is ridicolous. Meanwhile Hullbreacher is considered unfair. Fuck riiiight off
