Very observant, 3.5 inch uses grains and 5 inch beans.......unusual but I decided to use grains in the film which is fine, but can occasionally block the fire grate bars.

Good info. I use beans on my 3.5 inch loco. Seems to work better than grains. Should I still use beans?

Thanks for the info They say to use beans on 3.5 locos as the grains tend to be too small to let a good air flow around the coal ?

So would I be next using beans for a 3.5 inch loco as heard that's better by others?

Thanks, it runs really well. The coal used is anthracite supplied by the club in the form of grains and beans.
