Sephiroth made it into Smash! That was definitely an unexpected surprise for old school FF fans like myself. It felt necessary to celebrate his Smash inclusion with a Sephiroth remix, and I wanted to do a song that ALWAYS gets overlooked in favor of others like One Winged Angel and J-E-N-O-V-A: the Bizzaro Sephiroth fight theme Birth of a God.
Also we didn't do any full Final Fantasy remixes last year! Crazy right?
Certainly there weren't any other franchises we forgot about...

This song never gets any remixes. Not even from Square. A shame, because it’s excellent. Edit: Apparently, it actually WAS remixed in Dissidia NT, which I only found out just now. It sounds fine, but not as good as the remixes of Decisive Battle, Dancing Mad, or The Darkness of Eternity.

Well we can't slay Jonny. His guitars ignore DEF and MDEF, inflict an array of statuses similar to Bad Breath, and gives him dual wield with X-Fight, X-Magic, Quick, and Big Shield buffs.

Unless you are overleveled, this track on the original lines up to the fight quite naturally. There's a flow to it that shows Sephiroth's distain, and your perseverance and courage.

It's not the birth of a god in Rebirth. it's a Jenova remnant being a shape shifter that she is and a manipulator. Fooling people into thinking it's something else... Music is always key, the fact there was no music there is why there should be no music there and why it shouldn't have been in Rebirth.

I remember fighting Bizarro Sephiroth...I was underleveled and was like, "Man that was kinda hard" then Safer Sephiroth came the fuck outa nowhere...I paused...and put the game down for a month. Came back, grinded, and beat the shit outa Sephiroth. Felt like a damn champion

Last night at 12 on the dot, I beat final fantasy 7! When gametal released this song, I wasnt completely done with the game and I had never heard birth of a god before in my life. So I decided to hold off until I beat the game, it took my 3 whole hours to beat the northern cave, jenova absolute, bizarro sephiroth, and safer sephiroth! The moment I hear the original birth of a god playing I absolutely loved it and couldn't wait to hear gametals version of it!! Needless to say, it absolutely rocks!! Cant wait to listen to this on loop! Also, the guitar really sells the song! I'm so glad to listen to this after I beat the game, it feels like a victory to me! I cant wait to check out all the other final fantasy games!

You know what, that start with the wah's from the guitar... THAT'S HOW IT SHOULD BE! too often it's drowned out, not being the sharp focal point it should be, which sets a tone for a lifeless feel song that's meant to not just live and breathe, but fucking hit hard you need a potion cuz you're somehow in the red with health points, this does that and makes you want to use those megalixirs you saved for a what if, even though you can easily duplicate more, I low you do that cuz we all do
