I haven't read anything by Lermontov, but when you said he died in his 20s, I was quite put back, since the photo of him on the cover of that book (assuming that is him) does not look like someone in their 20s haha😅 I have never read Ivanhoe, and have read little of Scott overall. I should make time, I think I would very much like his work.
