Caleb’s reaction was too funny! 😂 You can also spread some butter 1st before spreading just a very very thin layer of Vegemite to stop it from tasting so salty. Some stir it in their porridge but I personally just have the slightest bit on toast and sometimes with avocado too. So glad you loved the presents. I know u don’t have a single coloured rodeo so of course had to find you an all pink one as it’s one of your fave colors 💕.Other than luxury, I also wanted to give you an Australian 🇦🇺 experience including sharing some of my fave Australian designer & local fashion brands! Not sure why you feel the need to compare … even if it were true, it taints something that was borne out of love and friendship doesn’t it? At the end of the day, Charis and Mel are both very lovely women who surely do not care about a little $$$ … it is the gesture that is important to them. It wouldn’t make Mel feel good to read this, and obviously Charis cares about Mel a lot, let’s just be happy and support their friendship.
@@exquisiteiam830 using a word like deserve when you're talking about birthday gifts is a bit much and totally defeats the spirit of gift giving! it's the intention and thought that someone put in that matters- and it's clear in the presentation and type of gifts that there was thought put into it. maybe you would prefer to have the presents Mel received but that doesn't mean that she's selfish or didn't put care into her gifts- if you look they both basically gifted each other things that they love and wanted to share and even both included foods for each other to experience!
@@lexilouise1994 the Hermes rodeo is a hard item to get, trust me i tried. I love that pink one and it cost about $800. I own 2 myself. I would happily take it lol Let's be kind, both ladies are wonderful and as Charis wrote above the focus in on their friendship and she loved the gifts which is most important. 🙏🏻

Charis you really came out on top in this gift swap. Your gifts were so thoughtful and so so generous. WOW. Was quite disappointed with Mel’s gift she got you. She definitely came in way below budget and the gifts looked really cheap. No other way to sugar coat that! If you do it again next year, hope she ups her game and reciprocates. After watching Mel's video. I get what people are saying when they say Mel could've done better. I feel like alot of what she got for you is what she'd like but not what suits you..esp the dress but its nice that you both gifted items from your country! Though Mel did say Charis seemed to have gone over budget but Mel prob went under budget lol Charis is such a sweetheart and so generous! I can see the embarrassment in Mel's face after opening Charis gifts lol I dont think anyone can top Charis in gift giving.

I agree cause $1k in us dollars is not the same as Australian dollars. Therefore this swap isn't fair. Mel should have had a higher budget based on exchange rate alone

With vegemite I’ve always thought of it as kinda of a Australian 된장. I suggest toasted bread and light layer of butter and light layer of vegemite (some people add a slice of cheese)😁 great video and loved the gift exchange hehe

Your friendship is so adorable! I think Mel used up most of her quota on the Rodeo, so overall it may seem less exciting comparatively. However, all the items are still very thoughtful. She most definitely cheated and went over budget! I am a sucker for Tim Tam, it is my long time favourite, used to get it from Australia during working trips since eons. So grateful that it is easily available in Singapore’s Supermarkets. I think mentioning about how grand the gift should be is a bit offensive at the end of the day it’s a thoughtful ideal. However to be honest, Mel, Charis hardly wear anything this busy or this material 😂😂. Remember she bought a red asymmetrical warp dress years ago she never wear it after that video 🤪. The “preloved” 1st gift is abit of “I dunno how to react”. Maybe a white jeans with a cardigan will make this top up for a few shots of pictures. She is elegance, that is more of your own dress Mel. I guess a custom make lindiess Pom Pom would make her appreciates more than the Rodeo 😂 also for her liking. with these gift I think Mel you don’t watch her video that often , otherwise the dress won’t be a gift ideal

Vegemite can use in cooking, savoury mix with porridge. For toast just a thin spread is great. You can goggle and check the goodness of eating vegemite. Both of you so lovely and thoughtful especially you all have not met in person!
