so he came out with a motorcycle, a mustang, a charger, a massive flag, a vacation to Boston, and almost $80,000? That was probably the best birthday of his life.
@@ihl8608 One of the former producers of the show has a youtube channel and he said that the winners are given a 1099 form but do not have to pay the taxes up front.
I love Drew's genuine enthusiasm, but Pat's approach works for me too. He's so offhand about it - giving someone a million and completely changing their life forever like it's just another day at the office is a pretty cool way to go.
@@aualga the million is unbelievably special though and he was so underwhelming each time a contestant won it. You’d think it was coming from his own pocket
I remember when Bob Barker had to sit down because of one tid bit dum player. It was hard enough that he was old during that clip, he needed to not waste any more energy from all her answers 🤣
@@thebeardyyc 😆 why ? I hope it made you feel better to type this out. Just saying dude got on the price is right and totally changed his life around Pal ... Pretty sure who's line is it anyways and the drew Carey show didn't give him the confidence and ambition he needed to become the guy Drew really wanted to be and to be seen as. Have a good day stranger.
It didn't, I remember when he got this show. Drew was already extremely famous with the drew carry show and who's line is it anyways. This just added to an already successful career.
For some unknown reason, I could tell that Taylor's a "Good Kid. I couldn't be happier when seeing someone winning big as Taylor had won on a game show. He has a way about him that's sincere and wholesome. I hope his blessings continue and that he's doing good.
Can you imagine the bedlam that there would have been in the studio if he had won BOTH showcases? Regardless, he had a GREAT day. Best birthday he ever had, I'm sure!
Not only is this a truly unforgettable birthday with an inhuman amount of luck, but now he gets to show his future generations just how awesome his 19th was.
The Guy That Talks Shit On RU-vid I hate how people compare him to Bob Barker. They’re both great hosts. Bob for his legendary legacy and Drew for Whose Line and his own show.
Man, I grew up with Bob, and I always thought he couldn't be replaced. But the more I watch these, the more I believe Drew was exactly what this show needed to continue to thrive. He really comes across as the "one of us" host. Very feel-good stuff.
Drew helped modernize the show. At first he felt like an awkward host because it was still operating like a show for Bob Barker's generation. Once he found his pocket and convinced the executives at CBS to make some prize/style updates to bring it out of the 80-90s feel, he's shined and shown how the show could grow into something younger people will love. Iirc Drew is the one who got the show to stop offering $5K grandfather clocks as a common prize. Because lets be honest, when is the last time any of us have seen a grandfather clock or considered buying one?
May 1993…I had just been in a near fatal car accident on April 3rd. L2 compression fracture and massive internal damage. Three major life saving surgeries, three weeks in two different hospitals, and a month recovering. I couldn’t stand for more than 20 minutes without passing out. I spent all day on the couch watching Rocky 1-5.
3:42 He never actually won the car because he never paid Drew the dollar for the car. He threw it out in the audience and an audience member bought the car....lol ;)
Yeah, I know. After everything that's happened to him, I'm sure he didn't need to make a wish before blowing out the candles on his cake. Know what I mean??
I would love to get an update on this kid.. to see how his life is going.. he is definitely one of my favorite contestants Price is Right has ever had. I love how Drew is genuinely happy for this wonderful kid!
Apparently, he is doing extremely well now, he's a cinematographer and director. He produced music videos for Becky G, Maluma, Justin Bieber, DJ Khalid, Cardi B and many others. His IMDb page (Taylor Randall) also shows a lot of others projects He's just winning in a life lottery over and over again
His name is Taylor James Randall and there's a video (?v=DvqEw5OhE6I) of him being interviewed and describing himself as a director. It's the same kid, he's even wearing the same hat. He's now a music video cinematographer and has his own IMDB page.
TPIR contestants have to pay California state taxes on all winnings. The rate is about 10.5%. Using the 79,897 total amount, he'd need to pay $8429 and he can use his cash winnings. He not only gets all the prizes but still would have around $17k left of the $26k he won on the wheel. The real issue would he the 79k would also be considered income and that will put him in a higher tax bracket when filing taxes so he probably paid additional income taxes or not get as much of a refund.
You are not factoring in Federal taxes which would be another 40% or so. Also, since he won two cars, he would have to pay income tax on the car values which means he will likely need something like $20,000 more just to keep the cars.
I love how excited Drew got for him. Drew was as excited as Taylor was about this. This damn near brought this grown man to tears. This young man is never going to forget this moment, in part because of Mr. Carey. Much love and respect to Mr. Barker, but that never would have happened with him. God bless Drew!
Come on down! Jesus Christ offers you eternal life. How do you get to hell? Very simple: claim that you're innocent. How do you get to heaven? Very simple: Admit that you're not Innocent, you're guilty and ask for mercy. How to know if you're guilty or not? Simply: Compare your life to the Ten Commandments God gave you in the Bible. Everyone agrees that if people followed the ten commandments there would be no need for governments or police. Do not lie. Do not steal. Do not commit adultery. Do not insult God by using his name as a cuss word. There are six more but let's just leave it at that. How many lies have you told in your life? Have you ever taken anything that didn't belong to you? Jesus said, if you look at a women lustfully you've already committed adultery in your heart with that woman. How many times a day do you do that? Do you use God's name as a cuss word? Would you do that with your own mother's name? If you answer these questions honestly you know that you're guilty. God can justly punish you and send you to hell. Ask him for mercy. His name is Jesus. It's as simple as this, The Ten Commandments are called the moral law. You and I broke God's laws. Jesus paid the fine. The fine is death. Ezekiel 18:20 - "The soul who sins shall die. That's why Jesus had to die on the cross for our sins. This is why God is able to give us Mercy. Option A. You die for your own sins. Option B. Ask for mercy and accept that Jesus died for you.
Taylor is just SO damn adorable! One of the reasons I love millennials. Let's see. He would be around 32 now. I wonder what he's doing with his life? Although I must say that's a LOT of money for a 19 year old to win. He gets a Stang AND a Charger? Hell, I didn't buy my first new vehicle until I was 36! Having watched TPIR since I was a little kid in the '70's I can't remember when I saw someone win every prize like this guy did. It's such a rarity.
Baby didnt come out till 2 years later, BEP didnt become popular again until 2009, and LMFAO wasn't really known until their 2011 hit Party Rock Anthem
I hope this guy's life in later years was just as successful!! He seemed like a fine guy and Someone surely watched over him on his 19th Birthday. He deserves every happiness!!!

Like others have said, when I am feeling down on my luck, I come back to this video. You can tell Taylor is an awesome, nice, genuine person and just couldn't be happier for him. Love his energy and loved the way he covered his mouth with his hands in disbelief when he realized he won the showcase. He's over 33 y/o by now---wish we could see him today.
if you got out in the real world occasionally instead of glued to the "homosexual asian" named "gay ming" for life no less, you could handle the pressure.
When his buddy comes on stage at the end, he wraps him in a giant hug and lifts his legs off the floor. It's so cool to see men interacting with each other that way! 😃
This was posted almost 15 years ago, This guy is about 34 now that’s insane. I hope he has this video just to show to friends I cannot believe how much he won!
@@littleuppie I highly doubt those cars would be scrapped by now unless by thieves. Both of those cars at 15 years old would very much still be worth more on the used market than as scrap, especially once the COVID market hit. Those cars are either floating amongst some used car inventory or he took the cash value and the cars are collecting dust in the Price Is Right vault.
When they revealed the second car(showcase) I belly laughed so hard, I knew he was taking home a second car at that point lmao, Go Taylor! Kid was living it hope, hope he still is living out the good stuff.
You couldn't ask for a better birthday present! Nice and beautiful mustang! Not to mention the other prizes he won! Definitely a blessed, happy birthday for this contestant!
This would make for an awesome Key & Peele sketch, with ever more ridiculous prize rounds, with slimmer and slimmer margins of victory and the young kid (played by Key) having increasingly outlandish reactions to winning.
OMG! How lucky can this guy be. AND the reaction from Drew is so awesome. I love him, he's wayyyyyyyyyyyy better than Bob Barker. Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
pro tip to getting on the show... you get interviewed while you are in line all night waiting to get into the show.. You have to be overly excited while waiting in line to get into the show. So obviously he passed the first vetting process...thats why everyone is flipping out in the crowd because they were all the craziest people outside waiting to go on the show...
