BIS Certification for Safety of Household, Commercial and Similar Electrical Appliances

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department For Promotion Of Industry And Internal Trade) has notified a Quality Control Order after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards (Govt. of India) to make BIS certification mandatory for Safety of Household, Commercial and Similar Electrical Appliances as per IS 302 (Part 1): 2008. This QCO was published on 17th September, 2024 in the official gazette.
There are 85 products covered in this Quality Control Order.
