@@margaritaabaracon9801 A few things here. The word of God can be spread in many ways, and learning/studying the word of God is important to spreading it. We also live in the world, where things cost money and where giving away freely is not sustainable for all products. Nor is he personally profiting off Gods word. Would this not be the same for Monks who craft and sell Beers & cheese? Finally, I believe Jesus did teach us things about this, in the anointing of Jesus's feet in Bethany.
I'm an atheist and I'm considering buying it. I already have a beautiful Cambridge goatskin cover of the AV Bible, but the added commentaries of this book add so much value to this beautiful volume.
Oh people definitely still wait to buy games at midnight, bud, just like they do with films and with novels. Bishop Barron has actually done very well engaging with the latter two aspects of pop culture in a religious context.
Just starting the Gospel According to John and couldn't be happier with this bible. Its beautiful, well laid out, engaging, thought provoking and educational. Because of Bishop Barron and The Word on Fire Bible I haven't missed a Sunday mass since I've started reading and I've gotten to know Jesus Christ on a more personal level. Thank you!!

This is an amazing book, the smell, look and feel of the leather binding the gilded pages are beautiful. The word is brought to the reader through commentaries that break the barrier between the reader and God if you will. Honestly at 1st deleving into the gospels I was skeptical because I thought it dummied down the Word of God, but I went back to the beginning and read the purpose of this Bible, its not meant for the strict old fashioned Catholics, its written for men & women that don't have an understanding of Our Lord , who are curious and want to learn more. Like Jesus says, for those who have more, more will be given, to those with less... so I'm reading this awesome book with a new attitude and learning more than ever. Bishop Barron is an amazing teacher and his words have brought a different perspective to the word of God. I understand things and allegories that were kind of puzzling before. So, in my humble opinion, get this bible, open your mind and enjoy learning again. Thank you Bishop Barron 🙏

Bishop Barron - I am a great fan of your teachings and of you as a person since you were Father Barron. My only questions about this beautiful bible: At this day and age, we know Jesus was not a white caucasian man... Many people, for centuries, have been tone-deaf to the plight of black and brown people, and that imagery has been used to propagate superiority and dehumanization of some races. At least the conversation about the image of Jesus has been reviewed and more of society has accepted the truer version of Jesus' image. This was important to restore faith in those doing the evangelization. In being faithful to the biblical truth, wouldn't this have been a consideration, especially in these days where the world is going through the growing pains of a more just world. Where most society is looking back at past transgressions of commission and of omission? Beautify and truthfulness... Jesus was beautiful in his image/skin, would it not be even more beautiful if we celebrated him as such...

I just got mine... Oh my goodness!!!... What a GORGEOUS book. The clear text, the colour in the pictures and so much more.... ya know what?! - if you spent 100years planning and putting this together - it couldn't possibly be any better. Didn't know quality like this still existed.

Just want to thank you for all you do. It was your web series and Word on Fire that gave me the extra informational and biblical resources on my conversion. I had my first confession today and get to partake in the Blessed Eucharist the 18th. Thank you and your staff for all you do and after/through the period of Mystagogy, plan to enroll for further collegiate studies at Seminary with the help of my Parish leaders.
Thank you Bishop Barron for your commitment to God, Jesus Christ, and The Kingdom of God. Christ really is the only way-non-violence and not hate of this world as killing only leads to more killing, etc... Cain killing Abel was not of God and Jesus; God did not like that. This is such an important book. As a very uninformed christian, the bible scares me because I know everything connects and there are so many contexts and ways to interpret. Also, it's fricken large!! This is so helpful because the notes would make me more comfortable in what I'm reading, and since it goes in volumes, I can take the bible piece by piece.
I can't wait. Everything that Bishop Barron does is just spectacularly brilliant. I will do everything I can to promote the boxed and the paperback edition. Word on Fire, you have a friend in Jesus Manuel! :)

What a beautiful project. I was thinking at 150 USD a pop, these will unlikely find the hands of those who have lost faith. I understand it is a very beautiful book and it has been expensive to produce, but perhaps WOF could ask those who have plenty to donate a book (or two) so those who have less can find or rediscover the faith, not in a cheaper plainer edition, but in this beautiful edition.
Does this come in large print ? Some fonts are so small , I have trouble reading them . I have many bibles that I have ordered in large or giant print and I love them all .

@PAULRYAN let's hope it becomes available. Probably will have to show them that there's demand from India. And I hope this gains enough traction for local language translations to develop. And beautifully designed psalters for the laity so that they begin to pray the divine office... that'll be great.
😱😱😱😱 I seriously want this.... I have the Ignatius study bible NT and the Jeff Cavins timeline ... this will round out the collection nicely. I know I will be able to recommend it to several elderly friends of mine!
*_I really wish the [rsvce-2nd Edition] had been used in it. I use the Ignatius Bible for personal use & the Didache for evangelizing & teaching because not only does it have 100 pages of apologetics but there is no other english Bible that can be used to prove each of the Marian doctrines. When i see in Luke, "Hail, O favored one..." i move on because this is the beginning of the Marian doctrines so i like how the rsvce-2n is clear, "Hail, full uf Grace...". It then explains hoe the Greek is translated. I will be buying this for my mom though. I thing the Didache Bible is one all Catholics should own & this one also for our own growth but the translation used wont change any minds_*
Your Excellency- I am very delighted and enthused to purchase this extraordinary book. I have seen it displayed not only by you, now Bishop, but by several other Catholic evangelists- I have placed my name on several wait lists. I also received your email a few days ago about the closure of the morning private Chapel Masses after Pentecost. I have been listening to you for years, since the first you tubes at the seminary- so in that strange but frequent turn of consciousness- that we all experience- I certainly feel I “know” you although we have never met. I wrote a personal email response to you in regards to the closing of the Chapel Masses with a little hope it might come to you. But of course, it was returned as a “no reply” email account. It is certainly understandable. I will look forward to purchasing the WOF Gospels and sharing it with students , ( as I have already begun to do), and purchasing it for a friend who will be ordained any day now in the ADOM.
