Bishop C.H. Mason ~ Passing Day Tribute (November 17, 1961) 

I was born into COGIC late 50's and at 12 y.o. my mom joined the Pentecostal Body. Like most "religious" organizations men create unbiblical titles and offices. Man's pride seeks titles and positions. All political and comes with envy, graft, and some cases infighting, and such. In some cases Churches sought to identify with business models in pastoral and their corp. set-up, hence leaving the Bible doctrine of Jesus Christ command to Apostle Peter / the Apostles and Apostle Paul's layout of the church. The infamous title " Bishop" just means Elder. Church leaders made it appear to oversee a group of churches. Pastor's greatly embellish the Bishop title. The Bible title Apostle ( 1st in the church ) was the overseer of many churches ). There are no modern day Apostles. Titles of Pre-late, Adjutant, Arch - Bishop, Asst. Pastor , Reverend and a host of others are all man created. Now Baptist, Spiritual and other false churches assume all these titles. By far the false and egregious title " Reverend " is used by all churches. Only God is to be revered .

Oh, Only what a believer does for Jesus Christ will be of any importance. Hypocrisy is 100% anti - Christ. It's truly sad that weak believers permitted the church leaders to devise and allow all the various forms of worship to church pastor's and others of position in the church. The earthly church ( body of baptised and confessed believers ) in many scenarios is nothing more than a sounding brass and a twinkling symbol with no depth or sincerity and wholly self serving.
