To many times church leaders focus on their race or “community”. This divides the church and is not welcoming to other people. How about just showing Everyone what a husband and wife look like. Preach the gospel to ALL nations
It can't just be image though...it has to actually be the truth. There's a lot of people who provide image but its not the truth. Not saying that about this pastor, I don't know of him, or him personally. This is the first time I've seen him anywhere. I'm just stating that in general, what people see should be what people get. the image has to be in alignment with the authenticity of the person. Because sooner or later, the truth will come out
Bishop is right! Image and influence matter for a church. The spiritual leader should know from God what their assignment is in their particular community.
Well I have to say it's not what PEOPLE THINK, BUT ITS ABOUT WHAT GOD THINKS, IF YOU ARE FOLLOWING SCRIPTURE, AND APPEALING TO GOD'S WORD, AND NOT TRYING TO PLEASE MANKIND, BUT ALWAYS PUTTING GOD FIRST, THEN YOUR WALK WITH THE LORD IS JUSTIFIED.
Yes and an emphatic NO! Yes if it leans to showing the image of Christ but an emphatic no if it's caring about how YOU look. Because you could still do all the right things and be as righteous as possible and still people will still talk about you, as long as you are following the book and among people that can check you to continue to follow the book that's all that matters. Now true enough there are a need for people in your life to guide you in the right direction especially in the Word, but when you start worrying about what people think and you are doing your best to live by the Word of God to the best of your ability because each one of us has a sanctification walk that is different, then you are leaning to image instead of the image of God where you should be focusing on. It's amazing...we never get rid of the world do we? We worry about in the world about keeping an image then we go in the church and STILL worry about an image. When will we ever escape image worship and just walk in Christ and if they say something they say something and keep walking anyway? May God bless you all!
He said he wanted his wife to stand next to him so people could see the image of a husband and wife working together in the community. He never said she was a pastor.
@eldersm100 go back and listen again. He said God told him that He wanted his wife to pastor with him. That in itself is contradictory to scripture. You can show unity as husband and wife and she not pastor. So just by the Word God didn't tell him that because then God would be calling Himself a liar. And He cannot lie.
Jesus asked the disciples who do people say that I am people can have a opinion about you whether it's true or not they will bill you according to your opinion Earl Carter put out pictures and other news clippings about you Bishop Hines we could either see you for the man of God you are or we could picture in our mind the pictures and the story Earl Carter planet so what people think of you means a whole lot in the perception of you
@i65780 I first want to say I apologize that is the imagine that is being portrayed of the church leaders. As Nathan stated all aren't indeed like that. That's like me saying all black people ignorant (I'm black). There are some church leaders living this Christian walk out with humility and integrity to their call. I pray one day you come across a church leader like that. I'm not sure if you're a born again believer or not but just know God does love you.
@@isaiahscott6750I agree. Many people have been hurt by preachers so they think all of them are bad, @65780 needs to understand that there are some who truly walk in their role and represent Christ well.
Some people don't want to understand they just want to condemn without discernment. Satan has blinded their eyes. Don't apologize for the Scripture. Pray for them and wipe the dust off your feet and move on towards God's kingdom.
