The ordination and consecration of a new bishop is a momentous event in the life of a diocese. On June 10, 2023, Justin S. Holcomb became the fifth bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida, and he was seated at the Cathedral Church of St. Luke, Orlando, the following day.
To commemorate and encapsulate the weekend, the Diocese of Central Florida communications team produced this video as a keepsake for Bishop Holcomb and a summary for the diocesan archives. The gathering of clergy and laity to worship, bishops signing and sealing the ordination certificate, the procession, liturgy, sermon, Eucharist, and seating are all captured in just a few minutes and set to music.
