Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah is a tireless advocate for justice, democracy and human rights in Nigeria - and in every respect, a champion of the cause of the Nigerian masses. He's served as a member of Nigeria's Truth Commission, secretary of the Political Reform Conference for Nigeria and as a member of Nigeria's electoral reform committee, to mention a few. And in his protests against corruption and injustice, in his criticism of government's failures and in his defence of the downtrodden, he's faced off against powerful figures. But always, he's remained consistent and both his critics and his supporters agree that he is unquestionably, a man with a strong social conscience. The more the state and its 'foot-soldiers' clamp down on Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, the more his thoughts are fertilized and his courage raved up for more piercing deliveries. Woe to ordinary people who jealously criticize Kukah whereas they are the beneficiaries of the Bishop's boldness against dictatorship, bad governance, nepotism, and religious bigotry and discrimination. Congratulations, Bishop, the 'People's President'; and congratulations too to the Arise TV host/anchor, whose command of English and intelligence is first class.

The only legal document decided and given by nigerians is the parliamentary constitution but was set aside by the military junta and we have been drifting here and there.The choice for nigerians is very clear,its either to adopt 1963 constitution andor call a conference of nigeria nationalities to determine how we want to live together and thereafter write a brand new constitution thats acceptable to most nigerians.

One major mis-step Bishop Kukah had before the 2019 election was by leading a group of reconciliators between Obasanjo and Atiku. The later who eventually contested against Buhari and lost. This makes him look like a politician in cassock. Any move he makes since then is looked upon by APC as coming from the opposition party.
