During his first homily as bishop of the Diocese Charlotte, Bishop Michael Martin reflected on the day’s Gospel reading from Matthew in which Jesus asks the disciples, “Who do you say that I am?” The question had relevance for him in his new role of bishop, he said, because in recent weeks his family members and others asked him what he should be called once he was ordained. He related Christ’s question to the deep personal relationship all of the faithful should try to build with Him.
On May 30, 2024, Bishop Martin was formally installed as the fifth bishop of the Diocese of Charlotte at St. Patrick Church in Charlotte. Read more: bit.ly/3R8Eyt8
