Bernard Williams I was at the church yesterday and got the news. My prayers go out to the family of Bishop Bonner and the rest of Refuge Temple. I am saddened of his passing. There will never be another leader like Bishop Bonner.
Praise the Lord, Bishop Williams l Bonner was a man who God used sincerely in true Apostolic holiness,a lot of the old time real true holiness pastor's have left and made it to heaven,so it behooves us to live in real holiness as they lived,or look to go to a burning HEEL!

The blood and water of Jesus washes away our sins not earthly water. Water baptism is a symbol of the death burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus according to st Matthew 28:18. Now that's Jesus way !
Daryl Brown God bless you sir, Bishop Bonner is right on point according to the scriptures. Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is absolutely necessary according to "Acts 2:38." Allow me to give you scriptures which prove that our sins are washed away at baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, because the blood is applied upon baptism. Note: "And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be BAPTIZED, and WASH AWAY THY SINS, calling on the name of the Lord (Acts 22:16). Now notice the second sentence of "Revelation 1:5. which says, "Unto him that loved us, and WASHED US FROM OUR SINS in HIS OWN BLOOD." Again, our sins are washed away upon baptism, this therefore proves or signifies that the blood of the Lord Jesus is applied to our lives upon baptism in the name of Jesus Christ. (Acts 22:16 and Revelation 1:5). Be blessed in Jesus Name!

If you notice in the book of Acts, the apostles never baptized using the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost because they understood that the name Jesus Christ or Lord Jesus fulfilled Matthew 28:19. Here's an example, I'm a Father, Son, and Husband. Neither one of these titles are my name. I can't cash a check using my titles, only by my signature (my name) can I cash a check. I can't purchase a car using my titles, only by using my name (signing my signature) can I purchase a car. I can't use my credit card except I sign my name, my titles are not sufficient. The apostles knew the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is Jesus Christ. Here's biblical proof.Name of the Father----------Jesus (John 5:43, Isaiah 9:6)Name of the Son---------------Jesus (Matthew 1:21, Acts 4:27)Name of the Holy Ghost---Jesus (John 14:26, 2 Cor. 3:17, Romans 8:9) Be blessed in the name of Jesus Christ.

Got to make sure to preach the Word and not our own belief. As awesome as this preacher may be when the scripture speaks of water it does not mean WATER but physical birth, the first step to being in need of salvation is to be birthed into this world. Water in itself does nothing for you but clean and hydrate your body. In terms of being baptized in water it is the outward show of your confession and what you believe in your heart, it shows the world that you are not ashamed of your salvation and that because you are saved you are a new creature in Christ.
Gospel Tea With Tee going in the water is the process..bishop was not speaking of just the water alone you misinterpreted what he was conveying ! You must be baptized in the Holy Spirit but that’s only part of receiving salvation !
Read the book of Acts in the Bible. The entire book. Acts 2:38 let you know what's it's going to take to become a new creature in order of the word of God. If you have not experience in this order I pray that you do. We must be born again. No man without Righteousness shall see God. You must have the HOLY GHOST. Ask God for understanding, knowledge of the word and wisdom when reading his word. You can listen to a preacher preach but also study the word for yourself and what ever you do pray before you read God's word and ask God for his understanding and not our own. Be Blessed!!!!!
