I wish there were more pastors like him. I live in California and in search for a church like Bishop Wooden. However, there are none and it's sad. God Bless you and your congregation, it's so refreshing to see a honest church we need more like yours. This is most definitely not a poverty pimping church. I think we need to address the problems with straight relations before gay ones. Where you think all the kids who are abandoned or aborted come from? Definetely not the gay people they could have sex forever and nothing haha. Maybe increased acceptance of gay people is a reaction to the straight people messing up marriage and family in the first, maybe not but if gay couple saves one abandoned child I say it's worth it even if it's weird or whatever and I'd argue that to God himself. Don't really wanna disagree with the minister sermon I think he's great and in a ideal world I would say he's right. But it's not and the world becomes more secular everyday. Maybe we should find a way to pass our Christian values to the secular world without so much emphasis on God himself and tradition and all that I mean that's great for the true believer but I grew up a devout Christian and now no longer have an absolute belief in God but faith on some level and hope but funny thing is I still agree with almost all the teaching of the Bible maybe some have to be tweaked but keep the important things in focus
There's no passing on Christian values to a secular world since the secular world wants to figure out their own morals without appealing to a God. Such a road is one of uncertainty, moral relativism, depression. Or as the scripture says, "There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." And the scripture can't be thrown out in favor of a Top 10 Morals Without Religion lest we become "tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive".
@@loavesandfish can't disagree with any of that all to say basically give an inch they'll take a mile. Definetely a risky venture but if won't don't try something the world will end as is said, fiery, maybe how it has to be or maybe the Bible is meant to serve more as a warning. God would have given us free will for a reason, if he wanted a perfect world he would have the ability to control every little detail. Maybe the biggest test of our free will is to find out own way through the scripture and alter the outcome and maybe we have to bridge the gap between the faithfill and unfaithful, I admire the true believes but that in itself turns people away you just can't see or feel an absolute belief. All I know is that according to the Bible you kill someone you can be forgiven and go heaven but if you don't believe and never kill anyone you go to hell. Just as an example doesn't sit right with me I think alot of things were lost in translation over the years and don't forget people already toss certain scripture aside to suit themselves how many actually follow it to a t? Not many I think people should be judged on their actually alone not if they repent or whatever repentance does nothing for a victim
