Aamna and Hasan: I moved from UK to Dubai to bring up my children in a more decent society, we lived there for 25 years and felt safe as a woman and my daughters were safe too, not once did anyone bother us. We Came back to UK and don't feel safe as women or as non whites. I took my grown up daughters to Pakistan for a few weeks and neither myself or my daughters felt safe or even comfortable. It began at the airport and continued while shopping or at any outdoor events, continuous eye to eye stares, intimidating young girls by getting quite close to them, smiling at them etc, even though we were all modestly covered. Utter shameless society, the same islamic society who say we treat our women like 'Queens' and that they are our, 'mothers, sisters and daughter's. REALLY! Its utterly disgusting that women cannot be safe from the very people who should protect them.

Agreed to the KRQ point completely. He might be good at his craft, but Haissam is equally good, in fact better than him. Why just Dastaan and JBG, the man has also given masterpieces like Akbari Asghari and Dur e Shahwar. To think even a director of such calibre should not have the authority to amend a few things in a script according to KRQ, is ridiculous.

Aamna is absolutely right. I totally agree with her. We have much better writers than him. Zafar Meraj, Mustafa Afridi, Umera Ahmed, Bee Gul and even young writers like Rida Bilal are so much more talented than him.

@@mrsecret4567 He has also written London Nahi Jaunga and Kaaf Kangana. He has also written a song like 'Ladki akeli hindustan gayi re, ladki Bhatinde ki jawan hogyi re'. Also Alif, Parizad and so much better than KRQ's whole career but those writers remain behind the camera and never spew poison out of their mouths. Also if you don't know, all the writers that I named have much more diverse work and have also written about different subject unlike Khalil Rehman Qamar whose 90% work is just about love, infidelity and about what a ideal woman is.
I think it’s high time Aamina and Hassan you guys should stop talking about KRQ. I am a fan of his writing but man he needs to shut up. I thought that video would have been enough to shut him up but he just keeps on saying stupid things. Haissam is probably one of the best directors in our country. If anyone has a doubt about him then go watch Aunn Zara and Dur e shahwar. The man can do any Genre with ease. I know KRQ is one of best few writers we have but aesa to nahi ha na k saheefay utar rahy hain is k ooper? Somethings aren’t meant to be a blockbuster because they don’t connect with the masses. I am enjoying Gentleman and i have no problems with its writing, Direction or acting. It’s a social commentary mixed with love story and that too in a little fantasy world. It wouldn’t have been a hit like PA or MPTH. It may nit be a blockbuster but it’s a hit at least. You guys should stop discussing his interviews because it gives him more mileage. He doesn’t like anyone in the industry except Nadeem Baig and Humayun Saeed and he fights with them too like he said Nadeem ruined Mein London nahi Jaungi.

Regardless of crimes in London, as a woman I feel safe enough to leave the house on my own without any fear knowing that if an unfortunate event happens, I will be listened to and something will be done about it.
I am liking Gentleman mainly because of Yumna n Humayun acting ..n Haissam direction..but only thing I am not liking is krq long n preachy dialogues.. he ruined genre of drama and he was not meant to write this drama. Started this drama only bcz of Yumna n will not watch any KRQ drama now onwards.

Unpopular opinion but Mere pas tum ho was such a common story line.. There was nothing in that yaha pr Crime patrol ke story line hoti hai ye.. atleast suspense to hota hai.. 😂.. It got popular because of the actors and taboo subject.. and that last episode was so blah..
I have never watched ‘Mere pas tum ho’ drama. Because of time difference and constraints I was thinking to watch once it’s done and finished. Unfortunately I came across the famous dialogue ‘do take ke aurat’ and I decided not to watch it where a writer has no boundaries or any kind of regards and respect of a person/woman. I have no regrets that I haven’t watched this drama and same goes to gentlemen. As soon as the character Zahid Ahmed plays starts talking about ناچتی ہوئ and again and again referring to ناچتی ہوئ I just stopped watching it. What a ridiculous person who has no respect or regards of the woman who has been mother of this low life.

Honestly KRQ's reputation has seriously ruined my veiwing experience, so much so that i stoped watching it. I know its unfair to the entire team but it is what it is. I feel sad for the people involved in that project.

Aamna, the Kolkata incident is truly heartbreaking. What makes things even worse( if possible) are the cover ups and the political stances. I’m a 67 year old Indian living in Canada, and I’ve genuinely not slept more than a few hours ever since .
That was justified I feel because that line contradicted whole point of the drama which was against sanam tarashi and obsessing over pictures. Should she have gone public? No, because Sarmad was excellent and directed it beyond brilliantly and shouldn’t have ousted him; but that line contradicted it. It was when Falak goes to Tabinda and the latter says something about pictures. Even Farooq Rind added some scenes in HKKST but she was still appreciative of the drama.
Dear Aamna, You were pitch perfect about KRQ. That man is full of himself. Someone really needs to show him his real self. Like Ammna I don't consider KRQ as a fabulous par excellent writer. KRQ definitely wants to put the blame for the lukewarm response to Gentleman on someone else's shoulder. I have commented on it before also. There was such a huge anticipation from this drama with the promos etc that the low ratings and views in comparison have definitely been disappointing for those involved in the production. It did not turn out to be the success that everyone expected.

I LOVE Haisam Hussain’s work. There’s absolutely no second opinion on that. From Dastaan to Jo Bichar Gae to Durreshehwar to Akbari Asghari. All pure masterpieces. Even Balu Mahi that I saw in cinema. I was soo looking forward to his next project but I didn’t watch Gentleman’s one episode even. Sorry I can’t watch KRQ writing. He has this typical way of demeaning women. From Zara Yard Ker to Pyarey Afzal and even Mere Pass Tumho.. it’s on audience to stop watching his trashy writing. There’s so much better like Jafaa happening on our screens. Sorry not sorry for not watching Gentleman.
When I watched mere pass tum ho written by krq I instantly became fan of him and back to back watched his 2 3 dramas like pyare afzal and many more. But he came out as a very petty person he is loosing his respect in industry. It's high time that people should start avoiding him
As long as Humayun Saeed keeps working with KRQ and the media keeps touting him as the best, he will never be humbled because working exclusively boosts his ego and he knows his dialogues are memorable. That being said, KRQ is unlucky to not work again with a great director like Haissam. That man is a versatile maestro and is the best director alongside Kashif Nisar. From an epic period piece like Dastaan and JBG, to a heartfelt story of marriage and trials of a woman with minute detailing in Durr e Shehwar to a comedic play like Akbari Asghari and Aun Zara. I agree with Aamna ma’am that KRQ is certainly not the best, he’s just very good. Umera Ahmed is the best we have alongside Bee Gul, Mustafa Afridi, Faiza Ifthikar and Farhat Ishtiaq. All these particularly Umera, Faiza and Farhat revolutionised and brought back PTV to its glory with MZZB, QeT, MRJT and Humsafar. Raweeb Se, Sang e Mar Mar, Ranjha Ranjha Kardi and Udaari are all unique masterpieces which surpass all of KRQ’s work (barring Sadqay Tumhare, Pyare Afzal and MPTH). His dialogues, arguably well-worded and beautiful, can get repetitive and over-indulgent. Kudos to Aamna ma’am who didn’t become diplomatic and sugarcoated her words like Hassan did (who seemed to be defensive) and was so honest, blunt and straightforward with her words, fully confident in her views.

I never wanted to say anything about KRQ cuz i never thought of him any importance. I always think of him may be a good writer but as a person, he is pathetic and very rude. We should also use his writing but we should ban him from coming on tv or on social media.

2nd marriage is allowed with many conditions. The only place i remember this mentioned in Quran is surah Al Nisa. What i understood from it is if because of some reason u believe u can cross the boundaries or u are not able to control ur urge for some lady so dont go for zina an u r allowed 2 2 3 3 4 4 BUT its better for u if you stick with one because u wont able to do justice as a human being. This permission requirement is part of Pakistan law Hassan, and comes from the defunct British law, pre-partition, which has never been repealed. It should be. Of course, a man is obligated to declare his second marriage, and now do justice between the two or more wives. Allah Is Watching!

I became aware of KRQ during Merey Paas Tum Ho… and frankly, I was so grossed out that I didn’t even finish the drama! I am not watching Gentleman because he is attached the story. He is a gross man with gross opinions. The biggest statement you can make is by not tuning in, and that’s what I am doing.
Kudo's to Amna for speaking the facts...KRQ is a mediocre writer no one speaks in dialogues in daily life. He is highly over rated. Except for MPTH and Pparay Afzal none of his work is appealing. Haisum is way beyond khalel's league.
Regarding ZANJABEEL: It is actually the opposite, where Zanjabeel is overseeing the script but it is mainly written by content team. She told this in fucshia magazine.

100% agree with Amna regarding KRQ, his writing is nowhere close to being a masterpiece, his god complex is too big, so many times have I heard him say that mujhe amad hoti hai, which just shows how high he thinks of himself. PS all his dramas revolve around the same love triangles, she he isn't very revolutionary either

Neither did i watch sadkay tumharay And i dont remember watching any out of this world drama by KRQ. As a viewer now after knowing so much information about KRQ agains my will, i vow to never watch any project involving him.

Regarding KRQ, he’s the kind of creature that indulges and encourages the “but what was she wearing” narrative. After his derogatory comments on men and women and how they choose to live their lives (again none of his business), nothing shocks me. I wish I could have a setting on my social media that protects me from knowing and hearing the gibberish he speaks. I think Something Haute would be doing us all a huge favour by never bringing up this man and his unsolicited opinions again !
