zoobpy i think most of the bisons are not pure breed, the bronx zoo made a huge effort to prevent their extinction, the original pure herd was bought by the zoo and then they exchange animals with other zoos in order to diversify the genetic pool, so nowadays this animals are bisons but they aren't 100% pure
