On my walk around Bissau, the capital of Guinea-Bissau, I discovered a lot of surprises: an old cemetery with German tombstones, a cathedral built by the Portuguese and a Creole-style coffee shop selling delicious croissants.

@@emiljunior poorest country in the world in 2023 1). Central Afrian Republic 2 Burundi 3). South Sudan Guinea-Bissau is not even in the top 10 but hopefully one day Africa improve so no country will be left out

I can't remember. But when you are in Bissau, you can go to Ceiba Hotel. It's the most expensive place in town. They have 2-3 ATMs in the lobby and my credit cards worked there without any problems.
