I bought a bissel about 10 years ago from tesco of all places, its like the old version of this one, but I got it on offer for £50 instead of £100 and its been used multiple times weekly for those 10 years and never broken or failed once. I just use my air compressor to clean all the filters and canister every couple of weeks and it is still going strong on all original parts. It doesnt have a powered head and the carpet cleaning definitely isnt as good as it could be despite it being one of the old 2000 watt models. It has all the same controls as this unit but its a slider for power adjustment but otherwise the hepa filtration and internal filters are all unchanged fundamentally. I have to say for £50 it has served me very very well. Im very temped by this unit especially with the powered head and unless the miele c2/c3 or sebo is twice as good (since its twice the price) I would be tempted to pick one of these units up, even if i got 5 years out of it. I definitely cant fault the reliability of my existing bissel.

It's very much an American/Australian focused product. In Aus it sells really well through a few retailers and seems to have more favourable reviews - as it's one of the few available with a tangle-free motorhead. It also comes with an additional standard suction-only head here. Every part of the dust bin and the filters are able to rinsed thankfully

Very useful video's: Just a suggestion I think you should do a best buys video where you discuss your favorite vacuums for the year or quarter, I think they would do well on this channel because you have so many videos

Maybe the baseplate with the lint picker is meant for hard floors?

Usually a velour strip is for carpets. The other one is almost castellated which is traditionally for hard floors to allow larger particles through?

I was very excited that you found one of these. Rarity in the UK with the powerhead. But it turned out to be quite mediocre and all that filter cleaning + messy emptying. Again it's going to the Sebo with powerhead. Especially E3 Premium (not too bulky). ET1 powerhead is fantastic in it and it works on all types of carpeting + much better using bags.

I’m pretty sure this is more of an American sized machine that they’re selling in Europe, since it’s pretty bulky and has a powered nozzle, which is a must have for our acres of wall to wall carpeting.

Hey there, in the US the vacuum is no longer made apparently, being on clearance since its been out for years here. I got one for $150 refurbed from Bissell but was practically all new. I use it to clean two offices. My issues with it is it is tough to drag along and no way to store attachments to the machine. Mine only came with the baseplate you switched to. It doesn't have as much airflow as my Miele compact, but for $150 with a power head with LEDs, it's a great price. I've vacuumed up mostly sand and salt from winter, so my filters are mostly fine. If you accidentally tip it over which can be easy to do, all the sand will go right into the pre filter area. Where I disagree though, is that the shark is better than this vacuum. Before I got this vacuum, I used a Shark Duoclean speed for 3 years at the office. It got sand into the power head and that ruined the motor until it ground to a halt. Then, I discovered that the small hose in the powerhead was broke, which explains why it was working so poorly picking up sand and salt. Here's the kicker - that powerhead is sold out on Shark's website. And that's the only way it can be repaired. And that was like the last shark powerhead to allow you to easily change the brushroll. Now check out the Bissell website, and I can buy the baseplate, the brushroll, and the entire assembly, plus I can have it repaired locally. Having to spend around 100 bucks just to get a new brushroll for a shark is just crap.

Interesting I rarely see Bissell canisters here where I am in the US, and they usually don’t have a power head when I do see them. I didn’t even know Bissell had one with headlights.

nice review, what I like about this unit is the vac has real wheels compared to the bissell multi cyclonic models that vent through the wheel where they have the outer ring that turns & because they were too cheap to spend 2.00 on real bearings you have plastic friction on friction plus the weight of the machine adding more friction making it very hard to roll, they actually slide more than they roll if you are pulling them across carpet & if you go to back up they flip upside down with that really poor wheel design, this model does not have that issue but the power head is problematic without a height adjustment, as for your hard floor not cleaning so well, that is because the original bezel for the power foot is more suited for bare floors where the 2nd one you put on is more suited for carpets, the issue is them trying to save money trying to make it a 2 in one as oppose to just having a separate wide plastic foot for hard floors like in the 1980's & the power foot for carpets.

They are not available in the UK so that's very unlikely to happen. Now Bissell sells only stick vacuums and nothing else in the UK. Even this canister model is discontinued.

Honestly the power nozzle is a horrible design. It bogs down on carpet because there's no height adjustment to it and the overall design it's just pathetic it's more like a stick vacuum power nozzle

We have this machine available in Canada but it doesn't have the "power foot" as Bissell calls it. That being said, this machine is bulky but you said you would recommend the Sebo D4? Isn't it a bit bulky? It's even bulkier than the Rexair Rainbow D4 and the disadvantage of Eurovacs is you are paying a lot of money for the two or more filters for those machines plus the tiny fast spinning motors don't last anywhere as long as Kirby or Rainbow motors last. If I was to get a canister vacuum, I would say a Numatic Henry as, unlike the Eurovacs, Numatic knows what the KISS rule is in engineering. A simple switch to turn the machine on and off, absolutely large bags, very simple construction and a long lasting motor. If you want a power nozzle for Henry, you could easily find a kit or the parts that allows you to make one. An electrified hose, extension cord and a Wessel Werk power nozzle and wand can make these machines even more useful. If you wanted a cleaner solution, you could install a power outlet in Henry's hat.

That clogged up quite fast. It must be a cyclone design flaw. I have a bagless Bosch vacuum, and the filters have never been that dirty in the past 2 years that I've been using it. I only clean the cannister filters once a month using another vacuum, and I wash them every 3-4 months.

@matthewtheprotogen4959 it's a Bosch serie 2, bagless vacuum cleaner. Recently I've bought a second one for my mom, and both of the cleaners are amazing. I know that my next vacuum will also be from Bosch.

@@LilybethII oh cool which bosch do you plan to get a series 6 bagless or series 8 bagless because the series 6 bagless prohygenic is a good option because it has a radio remote control and a very good filtration there is a series 6 propower bagl with radio remote control but I could only find it on Amazon Germany. the series 8 cleaners are OK but the silent has a comfort hand grip while the animal doenst there is a propower version but it's only available in certain countries

@ibaisaic

If it’s hard to push then it often means it is sealing itself to the carpet which restricts the airflow which is needed to carry the dust away.

The canister part is really good I like the canister the hose in the power head or joke first of all that hose needs to be a lot more flexible than what it is and secondly that power nozzle it's more like one other stick back nozzles and there's no carpet height adjustment to it whatsoever and when you go to vacuum like a really thick pile carpet it just bogs down and it's really hard to push
@ThePrime206
@ThePrime206 Год назад
Man I had that canister that was the biggest pain in the back end I've ever come across. That power nozzle is the worst Power nozzle I've ever seen and I live in United States I like the canister but the hose and that powerhead need to be redesigned. The hose need to be more flexible and that power had they need to stick with their standard powerhead that they had off of the Diggy Pro
