He was pressing down both buttons. There was a grey button underneath as well.

Hi there, thanks for your question. The Australian and New Zealand models come standard with the 3" Tool, 5" Tool, Multi-Surface, and Hydro-Rinse Tools. If outside of Australia/New Zealand, you may be able to purchase attachments separately from the BISSELL website of your region.

Hi there, the water and steam output is controlled entirely by the trigger. For less water, press the trigger less or use the machine in dry mode afterwards to extract excess moisture. Alternatively, use Steam Mode - which is steam only and can have upholstery dry in about 20-30 minutes.
