As a widow having to deal with everything on my own, this video was very helpful! Thank you.

To clean out the main inlet, it is much easier to take the roller off, use needle nose pliers and pull out the clog. Then, turn the vacuum upright, turn on the vacuum to see if the clog was completely removed.

I missed something. How did you get the debris out of the suction inlet? Did you use the Philips screw driver to poke into the hole or maybe use pliers to pull it out? Would it be easier to take out the brush part to get to the suction inlet? thanks.

Good point. I should have showed this. Yes just take a flat blade screwdriver or needle nose pliers. That debris actually comes out fairly easy. I would not recommend taking the brush out as you can reach it easily. It usually is clogged but not packed very tightly.

My vacuum is not powering on at all . Any suggestions to get it back working ? All I did was unscrew the 6 screws to unclog it.

Hi JaQuay. Is it the same exact model as this one? The 2191? You pressed the power switch firmly? Check and make sure all the filters are seated in position.

I have the same one how do u know the rt size belt for it
@jbrummitt
@jbrummitt 2 года назад
The belt is Part Number 3031120. According to the Bissell website, this vacuum is a Powerforce® Helix™ Bagless Upright Vacuum, Bissell Model 2191 Similar Models: 2191U, 2191X. It works with 100 products. You can find the exact belt on their website. It appears to be around $7.

How do you change the belt? Great video for cleaning
@jbrummitt
@jbrummitt 2 года назад
Hello. Usually the belt has just enough tension to hold the large brush roller in position. You can follow my video to get the bottom plate off and then grab the large brush roller and stretch it a bit to pull it out of its slot. Then it slips off the motor easily. Place the new one on the motor first and then around the brush roller and set everything back in position.

Hi! I opened it and the bell was broken... is it even worth trying to fix it ? The brush was not spinning 😒
@jbrummitt

Yes, the belt is easy to change. The brush roller slides straight out, place the new belt around it and then on the motor. Slightly pull on the belt until the brush roller slides back in the slots. The belt should be on the motor and on the brush roller.

Why you didn’t you show how to clean the blockage
@jbrummitt
@jbrummitt 2 года назад
The blockage is usually soft material. Use needle nose pliers and pull out the clog. It is usually a very quick process. In most cases you can easily pull it out or break up the debris and pull out in small pieces with the needle nose pliers. Then, turn the vacuum upright, turn on the vacuum to see if the clog was completely removed.
