This was the beginning of my interest in vacuum cleaners. while I still am into vacuum cleaners I cant keep collecting them. Now I am at a point where I need to start offloading most of my vacuum cleaners. Its going to be sad seeing many of them go since that would mean the end of vacuum videos for my channel but with talk of the house being sold I can't keep all 40+ vacuums I have anymore. But does that mean my channel is over? No its not.
@@Techman5150 I am not trying to say that your channel is over I am just saying that your videos that I enjoy watching is this one your vacuum trolling your Electrolux vs dyson and your bissell vs dyson vs Electrolux shredded paper test video
Reading the yellow sticker on the bin. “For Customer Demonstration Only” Hmm it must have been a display demo model at one point before your stepdad bought it.
I had a Dyson originally but been using a Bissel for a year now. I thought it worked better but I really had to make sure it's not my imagination. Glad to see that I wasn't wrong.
thanks for responding, I was so mad at vacuums I made a beef on my face book about a book long telling everyone I wanted to throw mine off a bridge lol, got so many responses telling me they all felt the same. Tried my new one and wow, I have a on- going shedding mastiff and no problem with the hair and it does not clog the roller like all the rest of them did whoopee for bissell power force.
Whoopee for the Powerforce indeed. They do a nice job compared to some of the other vacuums I used and it doesn't spit stuff out of the back like the Dyson did. I have 2 Bissell Powerforce Vacumms and they both work well. One is bagged the other is bag less. Watch my vacuum trolling video to see them both in action. They aren't really used a lot anymore since most of my house has hard floors and they don't clean hard floors. But I use them in the basement all the time and they do a great job. You made a good choice in buying a Powerforce. I hope it worked out well for you.
Fun fact if you look real close at certain parts of this video such as the 1:14 mark, you will see a green rope tied to the ceiling beams/columns. That was a home made tightrope that I had rigged up back then then eventually took down when the rope was breaking apart.
I also have a Bagged Bissell Powerforce 3522. I liked bagged vacuums better. They are less messy and easier to maintain. I did tear down and cleaning of the Bissell Powerforce Bagless in another video.
Hey everyone I just uploaded a new vacuum video for all of you who like my vacuum videos it's called Bissell vs Dyson vs Electrolux Shredded paper test. Go check it out!
I have just Uploaded a new video called 200 subscriber special. It's in celebration of me getting 200 subscribers. I thank you all very much for subscribing and supporting me.
The reason the Dyson spat stuff out the back and left a few pieces was because the cleaner head wasn't sealed to the floor properly. Even though it claims to have Automatic Height Adjustment the bearings don't really turn freely due to the fact that their plastic.
most of us don't do 25 passes over one spot, how much it picks up on the first two or three are what count. The E-lux was the clear winner here and considering this olde bandaged up E-lux can do that is testimony to how well it's made. My E-lux is 20 years old and run like new, few thing have gone wrong with it and it will probably outlast me, that's why there is a market for secondhand Eluxes. Whenever I go the the vac store the Dysons are lined up for repairs, dozens of them. Bagless vacs are messy to empty and they all have an expensive filter that has to be replaced often. Branded Elux bags are expensive but you can buy generics for way less.
Kim DeVore I'm glad you like this video. Positive comments are always appreciated. Please watch my other videos too. They need more views than this video does.
+Hamza Hassan I do not have the Dyson D6 Hepa and I'm not buying another vacuum when I have 4 other vacuums to use. Watch my 200 hundred subscriber special to see all my vacuums in action.
Techman5150 Ok and that bagged power force I used to have but actually my mom did and she got it in 2003 but I have the manual to the vacuum still but it is not in good condition at all, it’s shown in my latest video, you can check it out if you want to.
Just to let you guys know this channel is not all about vacuum cleaners. It's a variety channel were I upload different types of videos that everyone will enjoy. Please check out my other videos too.
+Shannon Booth That's a good thing for me to know since I have 3 cats and a dog. The Dyson never could keep up with the amount of cat hair in my house. The Bissell hasn't given me any issues.
This is a little off topic but does anyone know how to recover data from a dead hard drive? One of my external hard drives just had a major crash and none of my computers will detect it anymore. I lost all of my videos from 2014 and up till now. Is there anyone that can help me with this?
My Bissell power force helix is like yours (but it does not have the light). It does not have any cracked plastic on it. Nevertheless, it has a leak where the clear plastic meets the dark plastic on the front of the machine. I therefore put gorilla tape on it to seal up the leak. I would wager that that only reduces the leak.
The Dyson also has a belt protection system so that if gets caught in the brushroll, it will stop the brush roller and a ratchet warning will tell you that there an obstruction, so shut the machine off remove obstruction and the machine will automatically reset itself. The Bissell doesn't have a belt protection system, if you get something caught in the brushroll the belt will smoke and burn out and you have to put a whole new belt in it.
+Zollie Berliner That is true. I do like the fact the the Dyson has that feature. It will stop a belt from burning up unlike the Bissell. But that ratchet scared the heck out of me when I first heard it go off. But it's good to know if something is caught in the brush roll.
This particular Powerforce bagless was bought in 2006 i think. It still runs very well and has good suction and isn't shattering like the dyson in this video is.
Make sure you keep the brush roll clean and free of any hair and also pull off the end caps and make sure the brush roll bearings are clean. Make sure all filters are clean and in good condition and it will always work like new. I perform maintenance on all the vacuums on a regular basis so they never break down or lose suction.
I can't say the Bissell is in NEW condition but its not bad for it's age. The Dyson on the other hand isn't in bad shape cosmetically but the plastic has gone bad on it and is very brittle and has begun to crack. I had to replace the cyclone and wand latch on it since those broke beyond repair. I also replaced the belts in the clutch and it works great besides a bit of bearing noise in the clutch. But now the spine on it where the cord wraps around it starting to crack. Sadly that vacuum will eventually break in half. It's sad because it still runs really well.
Dyson lasts longervthan bissell and is a better vac in general, it has better hose suction too and a relative of ours uses a Dyson from 1997 andcthe DC07 is from 2001, you need to try a DC28 animal airmuscle!
Bissell makes a great vacuum especially for pet house holds for a great price and is very reliable and dependable. I have the Dyson DC07 myself, and it's done me well but for their price, I'd rather go with a Bissell.
that dyson in this video has not aged very well either. The plastic went from bright purple to a brownish pinkish color and as a result the plastic has become very brittle and can shatter like glass. The handle on the cyclone recently broke off one day as a result when i went to pick it up to empty the container. It shattered so bad i could not glue it back together. The Vacuum still runs alright though.
+Techman5150 I Think The Bissell is Better Than Dyson, Because Dyson Did a Pretty Good Job Too. But The Bissell Did The Most of The Job. Dyson is Pretty Too. Can I Use Your Bissell Powerforce Bagless? I Mean "Just Kidding" 😂
I think that the test was slightly unfair to the Dyson because you vacuumed a slightly smaller area with the Bissell vacuum cleaner. With the Dyson you went from the middle all the way to the edge and you did not go all the way to the edge with the Bissell cleaner.
Yes you're correct. I did vacuum from the middle, all the way to the edge with the Dyson but not with the Bissell. The reason I did that was because there was some stuff on the floor that I missed but it was at the end of the rug and the camera didn't capture it. This was also my first time doing a vacuum comparison video so it's not going to be 100% perfect. I will try to do better in the future.
***** I would actually really love to see you do a comparison somehow using a Hoover Windtunnel 2 and to have your opinion on the Hoover vacuum cleaner. I have always loved Hoover and had my old heavy metal Hoover until the brush wore out and I had to buy a new vacuum cleaner. I am personally not as impressed with the new Hoover as I was with the old Hoover when it was working well. It is the bagless version. I find that the pet brush attachment for furniture does not work so well.
If your going to buy a new Bissell I would highly recommended buying a Bissell Powerforce Bagged vacuum. Bagged vacuums last longer and have better filtration the bag less Bissell vacuums or pretty much any bag less vacuum.
I disagree not every bagged machine is better than a bagless machine. I ounce saw a video of a Dyson DC07 Animal outperforming a bagged Dirt Devil Featherlite.
Zollie Berliner I had a dirt devil featherlite that I bought real cheap out of Goodwill recently ($1.79 blue tag special). The automatic height adjustment on it was either defective, or a joke, or both. Nevertheless, for $1.79, I was willing to splurge on a $20 filter and try it out. Of course, I should have tried out that automatic height adjuster for a few seconds without the filter first, before I bought the filter. If I had, I could’ve saved myself 20 bucks. Oh well, I simply consider it an act of charity for the next owner who buys it out of goodwill (I donated it back to them).
It's so old the plastic has become very brittle over the years and is shattering like glass. I had to replace it's cyclone and wand latch and now the spine is starting to crack so soon that Dyson will break in half which is sad as it still runs really well. I did get a good working DC07 full kit to replace it as I don't want to break the animal.
@@Techman5150 I have a Dyson DC07 Full Kit Hepa+Bactisafe from 2003 and the plastic on it aged up real well, it hasn’t gotten brittle like that DC07 Animal from 2005.
ZMan14100 I did clean the filters before I did this video but it still left pieces behind. Please keep in mind this was my first time comparing vacuums so it's not a perfect comparison. Watch Bissell Vs Dyson Vs. Electrolux shredded paper test it's much more improved and detailed over this video. I even included 2 different camera views.
@@Michael-iz4dm The Dyson left a few pieces of saw dust, where as the Bissell left nothing. But I think that had to do with how the Dyson never had it’s HEPA filter changed and that the belts in the clutch were going bad. In Techman5150’s later videos you will hear that he did replace the belts in the clutch, but he can’t change the Hepa filter due to how brittle the plastic on it is. I have seen many other Dyson DC07s age up well, but not this one.
the bissell POWERforce bagless did so much better than the dyson dc07 animal failed to pick up than the bissell POWERforce bagless did so much better than the dyson failed to clean up the dirt. well done bissell proud of u! # bissell is better than dyson!
The handle on the Dyson cyclone recently broke off when I picked it up to empty it because the plastic has not aged well and became very brittle over the years. Bissell on the other hand is still in perfect working condition
I did glue it back on before but it has shattered right off again. The vacuum is not in good shape any more. The wand latch is broken and keep breaking after constantly having to glue it to keep it on, the cyclone is starting to crack, and the cyclone latch also broke even after gluing it back together once. The plastic on that dyson has gone bad and literally shatters like glass. It stinks because the vacuum still runs good and still has great suction. The Bissell on the other hand is still in great working condition nothing is cracked or broken.
i think the bissell powerforce bagless did amazin im so proud of it cleaned everthin up with 12 amps it win the battle dyson failed to clean up it picked up everthin up its just it failed bissell works. go bissell!
I have both bissell and dyson vacuums but I got the bissell power force turbo and the dyson dc29 and tested them and the bissell won by FAR on terms of suction the dyson has better mobility and apparently lasts longer but we will have to see I can't confirm that yet
