Attempt to make a clean instrumental of the English version of Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku, which was released as part of Funimation's Green Bricks DVD set for Dragon Ball GT. The original features vocals from Vic Mignogna.
Background:
This video was quite a long time in the making. This is not the first time that I have tried to create a karaoke version of this song as you can see from my two attempts back in 2020 but the biggest difference this time is that I am much more experienced at making these types of rips compared to back then. When I made those tracks I was very much new to the community, so did not understand complicated software like ISSE and Audacity very well. The quality of the audio was embarrassingly bad and I resorted to using online vocal removers like Phonicmind instead of professional software.
This version however was made using the Green Bricks version of GT, with the song itself being ripped directly from the 5.1 audio. Vic's voice was easy to remove for the most part due to the nature of how the 5.1 channels are set up but the back vocals as well as some reverb needed to be removed using ISSE and Spleeter. For the purposes of this video, I left in the back vocals to maintain the best quality, but you can find a version without them in the download section below. This track was one of the primary reasons as to why I created this channel in the first place as I wanted to share my edits of what is my favourite opening across all of Dragon Ball, so I am very happy to have finally created a version in the best quality possible.
It may be possible for others to make a better attempt than mine in the future but for now this is the best that we've got. Oh and if you want to cover it but still think that Vic's voice will leak through, I assure you that it will still work. I've linked a cover of the song by Mark de Groot with my instrumental and it works pretty well, so should for everyone else.
