Originally created by Maj. Crowe & Dr. Bobaliscious in 1982 for the 36th TFW/DCM. Unlike the IRS, this video was produced using personal video cameras and a personal Apple computer. All participants were off-duty, and no government funds were used in making this video. Many thanks to Peggy for providing her copy of this video for editing. I have a few more videos from Bitburg Air Base (early 1980's) that I will be posting in the near future (all thanks to Peggy)! The VHS tape is over 30 years old and it was not easy transferring it over to DVD. The video quality is not as clear as I would like. It is a small part of Bitburg Air Base history! I was at Bitburg AB in the 36MMS as the Munitions Accountable Supply Officer in the early ‘70s. Greatest assignment of my career. I was trained by the very best NCOs in Munitions. Never forget this - ever, wonderful memories.

10:40 gigantic - as a little boy, i was fascinated every time these f15 acrobats took to the air. i spent a large part of my childhood during the 1980s with my grandparents in roehl (a village located directly at bitburg air base). every time these flight exercises took place, i watched with fascination from my grandparents' garden. who would have thought at that time that many years later the internet and you tube will exist and this will bring back these childhood memories. thanks for uploading this video - i feel like 10 again ;-)

I was stationed there 1983-1985. I used to work the hot pits which you can see my old cut and cover tank with the pump house on top. 3 guys in fatigues standing and watching the show. Could've been someone I knew as a young POL troop there. F-15s are still my favorite! Our son and his wife are stationed at Spangdahlem right now!

85-91 F-4s and 16s... did 6 and got out ... walked out the gate and stayed here... I drive by SP every Sunday on the way to Metterich... Greetings from the Mosel Valley!!

Was there 88-90. Kicking myself for not extending. Loved the place, hated my shop leadership. I've been to several stations after but Bitburg was really a special place, never replicated.

Demo team excellence! I noticed no preflight walk around or pilot strap-in assist. Just an observation, don’t pounce on me. I crewed these jets for 21 years in the AF.
