. . . . . . . . . . .Here is something else absolutely noone is talking about when it comes to housing. #1 More and more people are permanently choosing "the van life" #2 now we have companies like elon musks boxable. #3 there are so many other companies creating tiny foldable homes. So yes, The alternatives mentioned above is going to take million of people off "the regular" housing market. It's very easy to see how regular rural homes across America will plummet.

Good point. A lot of homes are being purchased in cash by a group of people. An other thing going on: Imagine an entire foreign national family. One person that came on an H1B visa. Then the rest come over on a traveler visa. They all pool together and buy a nice house and share the mortgage. To them, they are living like a king, now. They just hold the house and send money home. Then either become US citizen or stay illegally. And cash out selling the house in 5-10 years… go back home with all the wealth… barely pay any taxes, if any at all… or just stay in what ever sanctuary city that lets them do this and isn’t deporting them. Between the blackrock and similar companies & the mass mass migration, there is no surplus of homes left for the middle class family… you have to live like the illegals do. Get your mom, dad, sister, brother, cousin all under 1 roof sharing the mortgage. And living cheap.

OK, but it isn't that simple. There's no infrastructure development and improvement to match. No new sewage, no new water, no new electric. It is all well and good for startups and billionaire pet companies like Boxable to make cool, new versions of housing, but where will they all go? Who is building all of the infra needed to support that housing density? Who is coordinating with all of the very small zoning and planning boards and committees to get approval to treat these new housing ideas as actual housing? Same thing for more people in van life mode...many of them aren't choosing it because it is awesome, they're choosing it because they can't afford anything else and again, there is infrastructure to depend on. Walmart isn't going to sign off on more and more people parking overnight in their parking lots.

It’s the same exact control mechanisms that exist now. the poor can afford to live out if a van just like the middle class can afford a condo or live in an undesirable town or part of a city… so then you will just have a bunch of people clustered together in shanty towns owned by the government or land owned by a corporation that you pay to live on… or it is just going to be everyone in section 8 like concrete block projects. Van living or tiny homes solve absolutely nothing. Are not secure. You share communal living with showers and toilets in a group setting. You give up even more privacy. I can’t believe people fall for this communist garbage.

If the cost of things goes down then how do business's get valued? Does the price of buying stocks go down too? Stock prices are based on earnings, if earnings are down due to revenue being down then does the price of stocks go down too?

I know we shouldn't measure bitcoin using fiat, but How do you measure things in the price of bitcoin without using the local currency as a proxy? Even his examples of his house getting cheaper in bitcoin are using the local currency valuations coverted to bitcoin right? Ive never understood how this works until bitcoin is prevalent enough to serve as unit of account.
