Great video. Here's how I made a couple of the steps easier. 1) For getting the screws in to attach the fan to the adapter: drill the outer 4 holes out with a drill bit big enough so your philips screwdriver fits through the hole. The screw only attaches with the 4 holes up against the adapter. 2) Instead of changing the housing for the fan plug, I just Dremeled off the notch on the plug that is offset until it was smooth. I left the notch on the edge in place. The plug fits right onto the pins without the pain of swapping the hosuing.
Awesome video. I would recommend setting up Braiins and lowering the fan speed before installing the new fans. The new fans might not be powerful enough to cool the miner if running at full power. Your miner got up to 102c in the video.
Coming to this video for space heater alternatives - I really wanted this to work to heat a room, but the math is looking better for a simple diesel heater. Cheaper and more efficient.
Can you please do a follow up video as to how much it’s costing per month etc? Would love to see an update on this. Losing money, making a little, effective heater ?
when you where describing taking the screws out screw by screw i was like GET ON WITH IT ...... by the time you where doing the same thing for making the sd card for braiins os i apreciated the detailed explanation and finaly managed to make a bootable sd card for my s17 pro , now i hope im able to fix the darn thing
here in the States I and my pals use a Cloud Service that makes me 30grand a month, i rather just use the cloud method than to have machines sitting at my house.
LOVE this video. Halfway through the project and I can't quite figure out how to do the following: 1) Did you leave the SD card in there forever? NAND Install? How did you finalize that part?
I see on the Braiins site there is an option to download Braiins os+ for S19j pro. I etched it onto an SD, and looking at the back of the miner, there is no SD slot. Do i have to open the device to access the SD? I have an order for the new Braiins control board with OS+ included but thought this would be an easy fix. Guess not.
Great content I have subscribed iv'e not seen this Braiins os before so I set mine up with wattage of 600W and a temp of 75 max 85 and fans at 55 it's set on manual but every so often the temp is only around 58 degrees but the red error led come on and the fans run at 100 percent for about 20 seconds. Any idea what that could be?
It's tuning up to 24hrs. Scroll down to "tuner status" at your Braiins OS dashboard, if it's tuning then they will ramp up time to time. If stable, then check if temps reach "Hot" or "Dangerous" levels. If so, up the fan speed. My settings are: Power: 602W, Fans: 45%. Red led blinking is linked on Braiins OS to tuning is in progress. After tuning is done, fans will work normally and led will blink Green.
I think this is actually the future of mining. Those willing to mine at a lost to get the heat and the KYC free coin. With enough of them going, big mining farms won't be able to stay in business.
When heat is a useful byproduct it opens all kinds of possibilities. Think of anything you use heat for now imagine hashing to get that heat. You might not be as efficient but your making money as well as generating the heat you need. Heating your Hot tub to dehydrating beef jerky.
@@nunyabuisness21mill Yup! And the beauty of it is that it will contribute to bitcoin to make it even more decentralized with millions of miners spread around the world hidden in closets.
@@pepelapiu2004 eventually it will makes sense for manufacturers to incorporate mining into everything hey can because they can sell you a toaster that you host at your house and when you use it they make the bitcoin. The future is gonna get wild. We are early so very early.
@@nunyabuisness21mill I can't see it for a toaster. At least with a heater you can turn it on for the whole cold season. But with a toaster you will need to eat a lot of toasted bread to make worth your while.
I have set up the WiFi device up to the reboot step. It was rebooted and i see the new WIFI connection option. When i click on it, it asks for the password. When i type in 12345678, it says incorrect password. What should i do?
I got the password. It is the same as the local network you connect to. Problem i have now is that when i click to connect after putting in the right password is that it just spins trying to connect but never actually does. I have not connected the device to the miner yet. Wonder if i should have the Ethernet plugged into the device and miner before trying to connect.
Has anyone else had an issue of the fans randomly speeding up to 100%? Mine will do it after running for 10 minutes an the temperature is still 20c below hot. It's very very frustrating that I can't set it and it stays out unless it gets too hot.

It isn't those issues. I contacted Braiins os support. They're diagnostic showed that fans weren't reading correctly on control board. After carefully research them things appear to be functioning now
It's a bit of trial and error depending on room size. That said, I have my hands on a thermostat device & app that may be able to manage this automatically.
I had a bunch of trouble. Once I upgraded to Brains OS it generated a different IP address than when running the OEM software. I ended up using the legacy Brains IP scanner and the button on the miner to finally find the new IP. Once I found the correct IP address everything went smoothly.
