I just got my biteplate and I take it out when I want to eat. You'll probably lose a lot of weight by the end of it because you will have to take it out everytime you eat or if you have it while eating it'd be rlly annoying, eating food would be a big task and most of the times you'll avoid eating.
I have one but its glued on there and i just broke it cause i tried to take it off cause was effecting my mewing and my front left tooth is extremely sore now and i hope they dont take off my braces cause tgat sore tooth is going to hurt so bad💀
@@pranaypulipaka Hello! Yes my bite is actually much better now! I’ve only had my bite plate for 4 months and it already has improved a lot. It takes about 2-3 months if you wear it everyday. It could be different for others though. It can depend on how much you wear it.
@pranaypulipaka I could speak kind of properly. The bite plate could create a lisp when you speak. For example, when I would say words with "S" it would sound like a "Th". But after a while of wearing bite plate, you get used to it. Other than that, it does not affect the way you speak too much. Sorry by the way I am not so good at explaining. 😅
@@ryan2613 Just make sure to clean under it, it never hurts, it just feels awkward, really no reason to worry, you may talk weird for a while but that’s it
@@viralclipx2212 Got mine few days ago. It cost me like $60-65. It's awkward to talk especially to strangers lol. I don't enjoy eating my favorite foods, sadly.
@blondepubichair I'd suggest proper posture. chin tucking helps. i also have a jet overbite, and sitting properly has helped a lot even without an ortho. im not a professional, but I consider looking into orthotropics (mewing) here on YT.
@@raquela8438 Thanks. I actually know abt mewing. Do u have a receding chin too by chance? And a bite plate. If so, I know your pain bro 🥲. Hopefully after my braces my jaw will finally show because I know it's cus of the overjet
@@outfitfindsindia Hey! So it's been almost 2 months I've had them, and I am able to eat normal food. Still cannot eat crunchy or crusty food, but normal rice, roti
@@outfitfindsindia I know, I've bene through it and I was regretting getting it. But it's just matter of 2 3 weeks and your speech will improve. Mine was awful in the beginning but now it's back to normal with the bite plate too.
@@viralclipx2212 it doesn't push front teeth up. After wearing these plates, you won't be able to close your jaw/mouth 100% because these plates will get in-between. With time, your teeth structure as well as your jaw movement changes in a way that fixes deep bite.
