I knew all of these facts which is neat. I just checked the comments to make sure that Teal knew the Cow Mangler oversight which everyone was quick to point out. Aditionally, the hunsman(/fortified compound.) is the only weapon that can ignite enemies with the help of a friendly pyro unless you're including gass passer, in which case you technically ignite them with any damage dealing weapon but the afterburn belongs to the pyro who threw the gass so technically you didn't actually ignite them.
Soldier, scout and sniper are the only three classes to have reskins that change how they function compared to the originals Soldier: the original (rockets fire from the centre) Scout: mutated milk (it is thrown further due to weird physics) Sniper: sabm (same as mutated milk)
I know your comment corrects that the Cow Mangler can light someone on fire, I just wanted to add - Soldier is the only class that can deal every type of damage in game!
according to the tf2 wiki, festive (not festivized) weapons count as reskins. So yes, medic does have a reskinned weapon, the festive crusader’s crossbow.
As for medic. Would you rather seeing the signature design of an Uber or Kritz and know you should back up when he's likely about to pop or would you rather seeing some reskin and taking a moment longer to remember which stat block its assigned to? That may not be a problem to "skilled players" but I regularly see very experienced players getting confused on what item uses what stats when making in the moment choices
Cleaners carbine best option for melee to be honest sense you get those crits get the crits melee weapon it will destroy every thing. Once launched a heavy to the moon with it. Great times.
Bro forgoe Vita Saw exists. Ik it's not actually a promo item and isn't advertised as reskin, but... Cmon, it literally looks like one for ubersaw, it legit looks like Bioshock promo item but with unique stats, which is why it doesn't have a strange version. So should've still mentioned it, even if "technically" it's not a reskin, it looks like one. Also Demo melees mostly being about Demoknight makes sense, stock bottle is one of if not only stock melee that's actually viable/good for it's respective class, there's just no way to make a bottle unlock for demoman, but Demoknight on the other hand has tons of potential
Ive found a lot of these out myself much to my disappointment. Especially the airblast and sniper smg ones. On one hand its disappointing but it (doesnt really) keep the classes weaknesses consistent. Snipers always fairly weak up close and no strong flame thrower can airblast
Huntsman isn't map specific. Friendly Pyro can also ignite your arrows. Also an edge case for Medic. Festive crossbow is an entirely reskinned weapon. Not just the basic one with Christmas lights
I am actually surprised this is the first time I've seen someone mention the fact that all of pyro's other flamethrowers negatively affect airblast. It's been bugging me for at least half a year by now.
degreaser is arguably better at airblasting than stock. Sure it has 2 less airblasts in total but its switch-to speed more than makes up for it since you essentially have airblasts on-demand. Being able to swap between your offensive secondaries and defensive airblasts very quickly is too good to pass up. Also, situations where 8 airblasts is not enough but 10 is are incredibly uncommon.
@@bredoffender this is the sole reason why it’s better than stock and is used almost exclusively in comp. It allows you to react to projectiles with more than enough time to spare since as a pyro, you’ll mostly have your secondaries out. Not to mention you can bait soldiers using shotguns into firing rockets at you so you can reflect them back
