OMG, in Trinidad we call it Carillie, that is so very bitter. Yes, I ran from it as a child, and still running from it as a 74-year-old adult. It is the first time I have seen it prepared like this, we drink the tea and cook the fruit to eat with rice.

I have some Cerase sitting in my cupboard grinning at me, lol. But I think you should use a quarter of what you use. Personally, it probably could go with fruit punch, but I've never tried it.
