Update i forgot to post and others have also mentioned. You dont always need to pull all gear. it seems like the act of physically just removing, or equipping any piece of gear is enough to get the glitch to work. Good luck on your adventures!
I find a better way to do the glich you have to make the hitbox of the character be puside of the glished barrel soo To do consistently you can just jump without moving and when you are falling move forward soo when your hitbox character are getting between the barrel and the wall/ door you will clip trwo Also im not sure if you can fall if you clip the wall soo be warned
This worked so well thanks! Also it also dropped the bit about only one door using the right edge for me, thx, I'd only seen it done to get Dragon's Ire/Perseverance Ring so I thought it was either edge or just the right edge for all of em
thank you so much! I was pretty unsure and lost my confidence when the usual method took way too long, but when I tried your method, it worked on the first try, cant wait to enjoy this game more
I got the trick to work (still working Jan 21, 2024). Works both on Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X. The real trick is the timing. You have to back out of the menu, and instantly press jump and hold forward at the same time to glitch through the wall. If you fail then you got the timing wrong. You have to slide from B button to A button in a smooth motion for it to work, you can't have a lag time between button presses.
The first door i got through easy, but the second one on the left I just always seemed to fall into the out of bounds. Actually in the end I got stuck and had to use a liftstone (ferrystone won't work in BBL). So I gave up on the whole thing since I really had the one item (the ring) that I wanted.
@@goodlookinouthomie1757 I did have the same problem as you, but instead of unequip and clip through doors, I equip and clip to the door right away. might work on you too
this works for the Switch version thanks man! tried it on the left door for the bow and left side always had me fall through the map. dropped a barrel on the right side and worked within a few seconds. didn't seem too long for me the old way
Super glad to hear! , I have never tried it with animals. That's a good thing to test. And others have said the same, really cool to see so many people trying different options with this method. Hopefully it makes the wall clipping a bit easier for this glitch.
I dont know what sort of shticks i got. I am new to this glitches. And i'm doing my 2nd playthrough of dragons dogma. I'm super lucky. I did as what you said but the thing is i dont need to unequip my things. And i can just jump like 1 or two times and it'll work. My character must be great or maybe not and just normal yk
You can just do the normal jump method. I'm not sure why but for some people it works fine. Others it won't glitch through easy. This way is just much more consistent.
I'm able to use the barrel trick fairly easily but I have dropped myself through the map twice so far. Scared me at first but thankfully the game spits you back out in the last room you were in. Minus the barrel you fell with, lol. Appreciate the guide, helped a lot. :D
Awesome! Glad to hear it helped. And yeah sometimes depending on your position it can clip you through the map. I always save before I do it just in case
This is great input! I knew it worked going both ways but didn't realize it may be better that route. I played around with a bunch and it's cool to see everyone find an alternative with this method! Thanks for sharing that!
@@sep_vs_theworld yeah the side people may want to know it seems that because when you put armor on the game goes into a slight load it's easier to glitch inside while it's doing the load
More easy way when u put the barrel and u stay inside barrel no jumping (( just wait for the glitch sound)) then roll or jump with barrel or box boom your inside works always, just listen to the barel glitch sound 👍
@@legacylegion nice. yah i have actually seen people do that one before! i didnt realize it was just listening to the glitch sound. very cool. thanks for sharing!
Haha you bet. It's quicker and more consistent than other methods I have found. Since posting others have said they have had luck with doing it with other pieces of equipment as well
You bet. I pinned a post a while back after the original video. It seems like just the act of removing or equipping does the trick regardless if item. Thanks for checking it out and glad he helped!
Hey i just wanted to thank you for this Video, because i tried this Door glitch for like an hour (normally i had no problem with that) and thought maybe it didn´t work because of the mods i´m using like higher jumps. But with your tips i got it so easy mostly on the first try and it took at the most 5mins for every Door, so thank you so so much for your help and have an awsome day you have made another person very happy.💯
Yeah unfortunately you basically need to do this without them. I always just go throw them in the water ahead of time like mentioned. Otherwise you are correct, they will just break the pots and barrels constantly
That's awesome! I've done the jumping method and it does take a while sometimes, and I could never get the rolling method to work. I'mma share this around. Side note, happened to notice you're using my skin textures, thanks! 😁
appreciate that! hope it can help some people! And yes! i find they make a massive difference. Speaking on that i actually planned to make a little video showcasing some of the mods i installed with possibly a before and after as i have had alot of people ask about it. But your Cleaner Skin mod is by far a must IMO, and paired with things like ENB and the gransys texture project makes a HUGE difference on the look of the game. thank you for your work on that and thanks for checking out the video!
There was a glitch where upon going to the main room I was falling to a black sky.... it was funny. And I did not die.... it just reset.... And yes this glitch works, did not even have to remove my head gear.
Insanely consistent!!! So good, I literally could not barrel glitch once with old method and am getting it like 80% of the time with equip/unequip method. PS4 Arisen
so glad it worked for you! and yes after testing more and others playing around with the concept it has been found that basically doing it with any piece of gear usually works. and also you do not need to strip down to nothing. im not sure if that does affect how reliable it is though as i have not tried recently. its very cool to see this is still helping people though. never thought this video would blow up like it did. i just wanted to share a method that helped me and that i noticed no one talked about haha. thanks for checking it out!
@@Illitha you bet. after i made the video i tested more and pinned a note. its simply the act of removing or equipping something that activates it. thanks for checking it out and glad it helped!
I have never seen that happen no. As long as you are inside the barrel and are holding another object you should not clip upward if you press forward after you do the removal of the gear. It's kinda a strange motion of jump > land > immediately open inventory > pull off Gear > get out of menu > immediately press forward and jump.
For me I just do the jumping while holding an item method. I stand in the barrel, stand still, jump and after I jump I move forward. Usually works for me in the first few trys.
You bet! Originally when I made the video I was just messing around with it. But after trying others have found the same. Thanks for checking out the video!
so basically strip yourself naked except headgear while pushing a barrel till you glitch XDD kidding aside, this worked perfectly! Thank you so much for thiss
hahah yah pretty much. Also after more testing it seems to work fine just by the act of removing / re-equiping something. So not always do you have to strip fully (check pinned comment). glad it helped and happy adventuring!
As soon as I clip through the barrel. Holding another barrel. I just walk slowly straight into the door. And once my toon is walking straight forward. I jump. And usually it only takes one or two jumps. Has worked every time. This is just too many steps. Side note. My toon is as tall as you can make it. Not sure if height makes a difference. But I saw on a video. That it does.
i did it the old fashion way and get through with just one try, i wonder if it's because of the switch that i'm using while others made video using PC. But it is straight forward with me just jump and i move the left stick forward and my strider just clip through with ease lol still enjoy my Dragon's ire in Gran S. :)
good to hear! and its true that mostly the regular method works. but for whatever reason i always found it inconsistent (some characters i made would be fine others would not, some doors worked better than others etc.) this was the one method i found that worked first try every time once you got used to it. but i did edit it a bit (pinned comment). regardless though thank you for checking out the video and happy adventuring!
Its march 2024 and can confirm this works on PC using keyboard and mouse on steam. I did this from the start of the game (Im level 2, killed the cyclops and beelined for Bitterblack Isle). I started as a fighter and was at very light weight. I used one of my liftstones in my storage.
Glad it helped! The original way I just found not very consistent, and then the roll method only is for yellow vocations. So it's nice this one just works on anything. Also like others have stated you should be able to use any piece of armor (I just used the helmet)
Wow, thank you! Just started a new playthrough last night after about a year of not playing the game and I wanted to get some of the good stuff I have on my main and your video is exactly what I needed.
I had no problem doing it the regular way. I did fall into the abyss naked one time...😅... but other than that... Came for the guide and where to go on the map and whatnot. So I appreciate that part.
Don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet but you actually DONT need to be carrying anything. Use the roll ability. Spam until you go through. It seems a lot faster probably because there are more frame rates in the action??? I just did this right now out of curiosity.
you bet! there is a couple ways to do it. most common is the standard barrel jump (basically doing what i was doing, minus the equipment glitch part), and then the roll). the issue with the roll is its only available to some vocations so not everyone can do it if they play others. The standard barrel jump is inconsistent and sometimes has issues with character sizes not working right. so this method was an alternative that i had never saw prior and seemed to work very very consistently. thank you for sharing though! its good that others know this as an option!
for anyone watching this in 2024, still works , if you want to do it the original method of just jumping, works fine if your character is Max Height and LL weight class.
I’m curious if they changed the location of the moonbeam gems for the current release of dragons dogma. I remember playing it for the 360 & I recently got the one for Xbox one & none of the gems are where they should be except one! Does this glitch mess up the game in any way? & can you buy moonbeam gems?
hmmm. thats a good question. as far as im aware the moonbeam gems are still in the same locations (should be able to find a link online if you have trouble), as far as this glitch goes, no it will no affect anything in regards to gameplay or function. it just simply allows you to get the chests without the moonbeam gems (if you choose to).
Hey there, new to DDDA and I got it on Xbox series X has anyone tried this glitch recently? Or has been fixed. I’d like to try it, but don’t wanna waste my time if updates took it away.
Thanks for the video. Worked like a charm. As a personal choice, I only take the ring to cut down on the grind times. I do everything else legit, makes the game more fun.
Glad it helped! And thank you for checking out the video. I also personally agree with you. I find the ring is really only the best early on . By the time you go to bbi naturally, find a door key and possibly choose the one with the ring. It's effectiveness is not usually worth it.
Ok, I just tried it and can verify that it works; however, you don't need to take everything off except the helmet. I usually play with "Fisherman's Tatters", the clothing that Grigori transforms when he removes your heart. and simply removing and wearing it while glitching a door works just as well. In fact I will try this method on all the doors that can be glitched. I imagine that any onsie clothing would work. @Sep_vs_theworld. I intend to do a playthrough showing this method, may I link your vid from mine as a source?
Absolutely I would appreciate that. And yeah after I made the video I tested more and realized you don't need to take everything off as well. Glad it worked for you though and look forward to seeing your video!
An easier way is to put the camera above you and jump without touching the stick, to clip. Also you can get out from the same side just need to release the barrel and grab the one in the other side if you get stucked.
Do you know of a way to get to the left door on the third floor more easily? I always end up breaking a crate or barrel even when at very light encumberance.
is that the one to the left of the door? with the little ledge? if so that one, and the one right below it are both more difficult to get. but the loot is also not that great. for those 2 i always just found moonbeam gems in the dungeon to get them later on. i know the one below you have to glitch through the floor to land into it, since normally you have to jump on the pillar then over to the door (and this is not possible with a barrel as far as im aware). and the one with the ledge i think you can get, but its very hard as well. you have to stack the small crates, glitch a barrel on top. then jump on the ledge to grab the barrel. I might have to make a video of doing all of them in the future. im not sure if there is an uploaded one on youtube.
Was'nt able to do the sixth. Got the barrel there but none of the boxes from the other side.cant put anything before the latch to then jump on with a box in hand.
@@azavaxsatanael5819 you can't actually. I mentioned it at the beginning. The pawns need to be killed prior to doing this otherwise they will just interfere with the barrels etc.
You bet! After I made the video I also noticed that. Basically any piece of gear doing either a removal or equip works. I think I pinned a post after the fact to mention it to folks. Thanks for checking it out and sharing! Hope it helped!
you bet! after i posted the video and did more testing, as well as with others in the community we found the same! thanks for the input and glad the method helped!
you actually just have to unequip any armor piece. doesnt have to be the head specifically. works for short characters better than taller ones. for taller chars the regular jumping works fine
Well there is 8 in total in that area. All can use this glitch but some are just harder to get to than others. This is a well known glitch but this method for doing it is just different than the rest. (I find it more consistent) If you are curious of the items in each door to see if they are worth it for your build check the Wiki
Is this patched? Cuz my character does not gltich theough the first barrel.. Even when i do manage to phase into the barrel the first jump pushes me out of the barrel..
Should not be no. I played the other day and it still worked. You may need to put the barrel closer to the corner. I normally run directly into the corner for a second or 2 then drop the barrel as I am moving. This makes sure it's in the correct spot. Also like mentioned in the video each door has a specific side you need to do the glitch on. Good luck!
@@sep_vs_theworld Actually once I figured out the proper mechanics thats happening here its quite easy to do on command. Even without the helmet swapping. Tho I did fall through the map a few times. Its that 3rd or 4th jump where the bottom barrel pushes the player out of its hitbox. Thus forcing the player through the wall and door. Knowing that makes a huge difference in preforming the glitch.
@@DsLink1306 awesome! im so glad it worked. and yes, if you are just doing the jump without removing / equipping gear. thats the traditional method (just jump until you clip through). For some people that works fine, for others its inconsistent. that was the reason for this video is the method i posted almost works every time (its just more consistent on average as it forces the clip to happen). you can also do a Roll if you are yellow vocation, you just roll until you clip through. this is a common way to skip the Final Boss if you are doing runs.
Glad it helped! And yes after more testing it seems to work both ways either putting on or taking off. Also seems to work with some other pieces of gear. Happy adventuring!
@@dimitrhsrap65 haha yeah it should work with most (if not all ) pieces as far as I found. You should be able to equip or unequip other things as well like chest boots etc. And others have stated they didn't require removing the other pieces.
@@astingilbert582 still very interesting! I love how this video made so many people experiment other options and more ways to do it. It's way more than I could have asked for.
yah that can happen. always save prior to doing the glitch so that if you do drop out you can just reload and try again. Also if you use all the barrels up just go to an inn and sleep for a few days (i cant remember exactly but i think its 4 days that resets objects).
You don’t need to take any gear off. The trick to this glitch is that your body needs to be ‘inside’ the barrel when you’re jumping. Just make sure you place whatever it is you’re going to hold, either a jug or barrel right next to the barrel you’re standing in so you can pick it up whilst staying inside the barrel. Then jump. Still working May 2024 🙂
that is the normal method. mostly it works, but i found it inconsistent in my multiple characters. i could always get it to work, but i just found this way more consistent so thought i would share with the community. thank you for checking out the video and sharing your experience! and happy adventuring!
After trying this I've discovered you don't even need to jump. If you fully remove all gear and set up the barrels, once you are in the barrel keep walking into the door and equip some armor while continuing to move forward and you should just walk through the door
Very cool. Thank you for sharing. It's awesome to see so many people take this concept and find other ways to work it, finding other ways that work for them etc. Very cool. Happy adventuring
omg thank you so much. It seems like a charater with a height less than 170 cm will not be able to perform the traditional clip. Your method with the helm unequip (works by equipping too) fixes it. 100000000 thankyous
glad it helped! and yes with this method i have tried many different body types in the game and have not had any issue with any of them, where the traditional method seems to work better with some. Oh also after the video was made i figured out you do not need to unequip everything. it seems like just the act of unequipping, then re-equipping is enough. thanks for the watch!
hahah yeah its kinda ridiculous but im glad it helped! also check the pinned post, after testing more on all character types you should not need to pull everything. simply the act of removing / equipping seems to clip the character through the wall when done in this way. thanks for checking out the video!
I'm playing a small old man and for the LIFE of me I couldn't do the original method, this one did the trick EASILY! Great upload can't wait to play DD2 !
Awesome guide, thank you. Do the crates respawn after a while? I accidentally destroyed the crate on the upper level when I tried to kill the snakes and the spiders😂
Thanks for checking out the quick guide, glad it helped. and yes they should respawn after a set time in game (if i remember it is around 4-5 days in game time) normally its best to just go back to the mainland, and either quest for a bit, or sleep in the Inn to pass the time. I cant remember for sure as its been a while since i have played.
There's a good guarantee that you won't read this but I was fiddling around with door 8 and I can get up there with a barrel glitch I just can't get out because I breach through a side wall and can climb along without poking too far out but once you go to access the chest in the room you're stuck cuz there's nothing in there to help
@@sep_vs_theworld I mean I would be interested to show you but I don't know how exactly I would go about doing that. So I've actually went back and made of clip of exactly how I can get into the room and the problems I was telling you about before I have not being able to escape once inside but hopefully if I figure out how to send you this clip you and the rest of the community can maybe figure out another way to expand upon it
you Bet! when i first figured it out i was just excited to share with the DDDA community, i actually pinned a post after stating just this. Thanks for checking it out and hope it helps, happy adventuring.
glad it helped! thats why i figured i would share as the traditional method of jumping has varying results depending on size and height of character etc. and its just overall not consistent.
Bruh great video but there’s another way to do this as well and you don’t need the barrel all you need is daggers and the class roll move go into the corner and just roll forward till you glitch threw the door . But you have to be a taller Arisen . This is how I do it . Anyway great video .
You bet! That method works great as well. But only with yellow vocations. This one will work with any size, any vocation. Thanks for checking it out and thanks for sharing the info on the other method for everyone!
Glad to hear it worked! And yeah after testing others also said that any piece of gear works. Also you don't need to strip down just the act of equip/unequip is what does it
Hello! The placement of the barrel in the corner..seems to be very picky? Without holding the second barrel, i can stand “inside” the barrel i placed in the corner, but when i hold the second barrel - i can not ? Thank you! 🤣
You have to kinda take the first barrel and run into the corner and then drop it. After that you need to be fairly fast to grab the second one. If you can't clip into the first barrel. Just drop the one your holding. Pick the first one back up, and re set it in the corner. Hope that helps!
Infinite Cringe had explained it better. You actually Can use standard method and clip through the door for 3-4 jumps, which is faster than this. You just don't have to face the corner of the door but stand right in front of it. Your method is working cause of difference of character weight while jumping. Yes, weight and size of the character matters. A lot.
I seen there video about it long after I posted this one. This was just a method I found that worked well when I was doing runs so I thought I would share it . I definitely did try it on different size/ weight characters though and had same results, but yes infinite does have a means with just jumping that they explained that also works well! Thanks for the input!
