From the teen-drama adaptation of Dangerous Liaisons, Cruel Intentions starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe. Sebastian (Phillippe) and his sister Kathryn (Gellar) make a bet on whether he can woo Annette (Witherspoon).
Kathryn offers herself to Sebastian after he wins the 'bet', but he rejects her: he now only wants Annette. Enraged and jealous, Kathryn insults his masculinity. Stung, Sebastian informs her that he was planning to tell Annette the truth. Kathryn warns him that doing so will destroy both his and Annette's reputations. Sebastian lies to Annette, claiming he just wanted to see what she was like in bed, and that he has no real feelings for her. Devastated, Annette tells him to leave.
Sebastian informs Kathryn that he has broken up with Annette and now wants his reward for winning the bet. Kathryn reveals that he, and not Annette, was the true victim of her scheme: for her own amusement, she manipulated him into abandoning Annette once she realized that he truly loved her. She then dismisses him, telling him that she doesn't sleep with "losers."
Sebastian desperately tries to contact Annette to confess the truth and beg her forgiveness, but she refuses to see him. He gives her his journal, in which he has detailed Kathryn's manipulative schemes, their bet, and his true feelings for Annette.
Ronald starts a fist fight with Sebastian after Kathryn tells him that Sebastian hit her and violated Cecile. Annette tries to intervene, but is thrown into traffic; Sebastian is hit by a car when he pushes her to safety. Before dying, Sebastian confesses his love for her and Annette tells him she loves him too. Ronald leaves the scene in shame, realizing Kathryn manipulated him.
In her eulogy at Sebastian's funeral, Kathryn claims she tried to set an example for her late brother. When people start leaving midway through her speech, Kathryn rushes outside to find Cecile handing out copies of Sebastian's journal. As the details of her manipulations and drug abuse are made public, Kathryn's reputation is finally destroyed and got her kicked out of school for good.
In the final scene, Annette drives away in Sebastian's car with his journal at her side, remembering the good moments they shared together.

The blonde nurse at @7:24 is actually the ex-girlfriend of Rukshan's brother, Dinesh. Her name is Kate and she works at The Alfred, she dated Dinesh from 2017-2019; that's why she approached Avi; because she knew he was friends with Rukshan. From what Dinish tells me, he and Kate did a lot of "relations up the kate's rear passage" as well as her front hole. Way to go Dinish! Score!

I never understood what Kathryn meant when she implied that Sebastian caved into peer pressure. He died saving Annette's life. Was Kathryn implying that Sebastian's fight with Ronald was motivated by peer pressure? I would have liked to know the final spin that was put on that narrative. After all, there was no way the actual narrative that explained that fist fight would have been allowed to come out. The truth would have incriminated Kathryn. She lied to Ronald about Sebastian hitting her. While she did tell Ronald the truth about Sebastian having s*x with Ronald's GF Cecille, she neglected to mention to Ronald that it was her idea for Sebastian to have such contact with Cecille. As cited already, Kathryn must have spinned this narrative to state that Sebastian had sexual activity with Cecille without Kathryn knowing about it beforehand. The fight between Ronald and Sebastian must have been explained as Ronald fighting over Cecille's honour while clearly stating that Ronald and Cecille had no contact with each other after Cecille's prohibited such contact. Ronald and Cecille must have decided to go along with that embellished narrative so that Ronald would not implicated by Kathryn's accusations against him. He was 18 and Black. While there was no proof that he had s*x with Cecille, he was warned to stay from Cecille by Cecille's mother and that would carry legal and perhaps violent consequences. Ronald already earlier stated in the literal sense that Cecille's mother would have him shot if he went anywhere near Cecille and their house. Additionally in all probability Kathryn videotaped her sexual encounter with Ronald. She knew that if Ronald ever decided to tell the truth about her setting him up to fight Sebastian (a fight that indirectly led to Sebastian's death), she would have the means to blackmail him and get his silence and his co-operation. After all, while he was 18 she was only 17 and also due the fact he is Black, he definitely would be incriminated in a statutory rape case. The legal authorities in the Upper East Side would not allow that to slide.

Partly the point of scene is to out her for what she truly is. More often speakers at a funeral talk about the good life a person lead, and here she is trying to make a soap box out of her step brother casket. She trying to make people thing she tries to save him while addressing a school issue basically trying to make herself look like a shining star. And his journal revealed the truth and ruined her reputation.

@@Reviewer2016When Sebastian told Kathryn that he "re-routed" Ronald to Cecille, Kathryn gave Sebastian the "Stare Of Death". That look had nothing to do with Ronald as she was just fraternizing Ronald in order for her to have Ronald later attack Sebastian. She was just cultivating Ronald for that purpose at that point. Earlier she invited Ronald to make Sebastian jealous and to let him know she had security in case he retaliated against Kathryn for her probable planned attempts to break up the Sebastian- Annette relationship. Once she realized that Sebastian have irrevocably changed as she did prior to the Kathryn-Sebastian toast, she wanted to continue to fraternize Ronald so that Ronald would unknowingly do her duty work by beating Sebastian. That "Stare Of Death" had everything to do with the fact that Sebastian's falling in love with Annette totally ruined her lifetime plans. She knew their dynamic had changed as he no longer had perverse love for her but rather he had true love for someone else. She knew even with Annette no longer having a relationship with Sebastian would make no difference. She was totally aware that once Sebastian became capable of experiencing true love, he would be lost to the manipulative tactics of Kathryn forever. Her perverse love for him turned into abject hatred, hence the "Stare of Death".
@freedom4mealways
@freedom4mealways Месяц назад
@@Reviewer2016 It must be noted that Kathryn was jealous of Annette. Sebastian could only have had a perverse love for Kathryn as that was all Kathryn ever wanted. Kathryn knew that the love that Sebastian and Annette would have for each other was true. Once she knew that her step-brother was "infected" by that, he would be lost to her forever.

Kathryn silenced both Ronald and Cecille from telling the legal authorities about Kathryn's involvement in Sebastian's death. However Kathryn could not keep Cecille and Annette from distributing Sebastian's Journal. That journal clearly implicated Kathryn. Kathryn should be legally punished for the crime of solicitation. That journal proved Kathryn is guilty of such an act. Asking a minor to engage in any illegal act, including sexual acts, sexual exploitation or abuse of other children, lewd behavior, prostitution, and acts involving obscene performances or materials is Solicitation. Solicitation is asking, encouraging, causing, or coercing someone to engage in a sexual act. When that someone is under the age of 16, it qualifies as solicitation of a minor. There is no requirement that any act actually occurred, merely that the adult charged solicited the minor. Due to the fact that act did occur and that just because Kathryn solicited Cecille to have sexual activity with someone else and not her does not mean she is not guilty of that crime. According to New York state law, she most certainly is. I believe Kathryn, her mother, and her step-father worked out something behind the scenes to get a suspended sentence that was removed from her record. They may have cited Kathryn's addiction to both alcohol and cocaine as mitigating circumstances. However because Sebastian's journal was widely circulated throughout the student body, Kathryn had no choice but to change schools. If her father is alive, she probably spent her last year in high school in a public high school living with her father.
@bibianaguadalupeislasherre9880
And Kathryn was forced to do community service as part of her sentence, go to rehab for treating her addictions and probably was kicked off the family will and decided to donate the money to someone else or a charity. Note: At 2:26, you can see Kathryn's father.

Annette did not even flush the toilet. She knew Kathryn would be in the bathroom. I believe Annette was spying on Kathryn. She knew Kathryn would be there at that time. Before she approached Kathryn, she was debating whether to allow Cecille and others to go through with the plan to expose Kathryn. When Kathryn deceitfully questioned her on whether she knew Sebastian, she knew that Kathryn was not at all repentant and remorseful for her step-brother's death. Kathryn's deceit was the "final nail in the coffin" for Annette. She then decided to go forward with the plan to expose Kathryn. If that question was not the "final nail in the coffin", then certainly when Annette cited the need to turn to Jesus in such agonizing times and Kathryn replied with such indifference was the "final nail" for Annette. Annette knew that if Kathryn really followed Jesus as she always claimed she did, Kathryn's reply would have been highly ample, animated, and robust. Annette knew that Kathryn would have said something to the effect that "Jesus will get her and her family through this" in a passionate manner. Kathryn's insincere thanks to Kathryn highly offended Annette, a true follower of Jesus. Annette felt that Kathryn was mocking her Christ and therefore she had to be punished.
