I think your question is wrong because the universe is consciousness itself. It is US and we are the universe. I believe there are different kinds of creatures in different planets in this very vast universe. We are not specials. There are other creatures more advanced than us but they aren't special creatures as well.

Can i make an assumption on your assumption? That like most people on this planet you would assume they came in some kind of vessel/ship, maybe some do. But what if a particular species had evolved where their 'body' was the ship? We assume a 'UFO' has life forms inside it, but what if the UFO was the life form? The same way we evolved legs to walk, they evolved to live in space and have the ability to move. Life but not as we know it.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. You cannot, as a scientist, accept that these flying objects are extraterrestrial in nature as there are alternatives to that hypothesis.

@J C That is the uneducated anthropocentric view. Unfortunately, elements are universal and their ways of collaboration are set. Thats why we have galaxies, composed of planetary systems of spherical shapes. Depending on conditions, the humanoids will develop features to adapt. However, they will evolve through the preferred path. For instance, if it wasnt for the meteor that rendered dinos extinct, we would have reptilians on this planet (scientific fact, look it up).

I don't know about Mars, but I've heard about Venus...

Actually, astrobiologists are now saying they would most likely look "eerily similar" to us. This is an old documentary.

14598175 There is no way they would look like us. Planets have different atmospheres and gravity levels for example. Thats like saying that everything in the oceans should be humanoid. You must be a teenager though..

That would be likely if there were only like a few dozen stars out there.. there are WALLS of galaxys arranged into a web of filaments that stretches for billions of lightyears. Even if life is extremely rare there are still at least a bunch of other species out there. look at how many planets there are orbiting stars just in our tiny area of the milky way; if it can happen here in the universe what makes you think it couldn't happen elsewhere if the same forces of physics exist there? I just think the universe is too full of things and places to be devoid of other life simply because it requires many factors to align just right.

I don't think it's ego and vanity. I think it's because we have nothing to go on. All we have is our imagination and even imagination needs some sort of inspiration. And human-like looks are all we have and it comes kind of...basic to us. It's sort of a template for everything humans make.

We think that way, that aliens look like us, because they are the ones who made us and put us on this planet.

I'm not an expert, but IMHO, if the atmosphere is dense enough, they may have hollow chambers of gas that they can float with, or maybe just swim in it like a fish.

The Bible doesn't say anything about there not being life out there, in fact, it's very ambiguous. The New Testament is mostly about how to get along with others. Bashing Christianity is just the newest fad and every religion goes through a period like that. It takes maturity to not make fun of other people's faith and to do one's own research, but it's really easy to go along with the latest fad to mock what's not easly understood.
