@@semi-automaticdooropened9007 actually... the ending got confirmed shortly after you commented that it iwll end on august 19th with chapter 109 being jojolions last chapter
It's only 95 chapters It's It's like the 3rd shortest part but when it gets animated it will be even longer than Stardust Crusaders and don't get me started on Part 8 i feel like it will be split into 3 seasons
It's so refreshing to see a male mangaka who actually knows a bunch about fashion, both men's and women's, cuz so many times I've seen contemporary manga with atrocious outfits that solely look that way cuz the mangaka themself doesn't know anything about fashion of any kind and wasn't willing to do some research.
JJBA is the only anime that has made me more artistic and creative leading me to draw better and better and find ideas for outfits ,traits and ect. While Also allowing me to relate to most characters ( like Joseph). when I saw part 2 i felt more confident about having brown hair and different style and taste from other people. without JJBA i don't know where I would be today
If you think so, then why do you prefer part 2 over part 5 ? 😶 Those outfits are really interesting. And what do you mean with "confidence for brown hair" ? Why would you be ashamed for having brown hair.
I look, act, and sound like Narancia, when i got to part 5 i knew i found a character based off of me, lmao were both Italian crossdressers, hes my most relatable character and I feel more confident because I act exactly like him with anger issues and im not the smartest person, and i listen to Aerosmith, the name of Narancia's stand
With Stone Ocean anime coming up, i really want the big designer names to collab with Araki/Jojo. Because most of the characters names are after big designer names and Araki's style really made them look like models already. It'd be such a good move too to bring in new peers. Because there are jojo fans who arent into fashion not knowing why alot of names in SO are localized. And ngl, some fits in Jojo can be in the haute/couture runway. The stands can even be in the collection too. Its so avant garde and camp, i think it'll do well. And because of Jojo's character designs, i really want others to follow this too. Coming up w more recognizable and statement looks.
I like to think that araki transformed those fashion style into a consumable medium for the majority to enjoy. He is able to translate those artistic fashion art style so well and incorporate them into his stories is just amazing
shame he didn’t bother with part 7 and 8 for this, his fashion inspiration _really_ shines through there; he described it as a renaissance for the series, allowing him to go back to the roots of the series with all the experience he gained- or more specifically, allowed him to go back to the historical setting with the style and outfits of the later parts
The fashion honestly helped me get into it ngl I have always loved fashion so finding an anime with such unique looks and it never having a boring outfit really grabbed me
I have never experienced Jojo in any way, but after watching Rock M Sakura and Nicky Doll review fashions from the series I got lead to this video and I am eager to do my research and look into it. Great great great video kudos
Welcome to the cult the fastest way I found to get people interested in it is a rough explanation of the Green Day fight or to say one of the main characters was on death battle
I've been obsessed with JJBA fashion ever since I watched the anime, and I'm so glad I found an analysis on it! Thank you for this. I noticed some fashion references in stone ocean, but didn't know there were SO many of them! I also want fo note the bizarre hairstyles. I watched a guy very accurately recreate them on wigs, and it's more complicated than it seems. I wonder where some inspirations on them come from. I also wish you'd covered part 5 a bit more, since it's my favourite and it has a lot of unique styles, but it's a very informative and interesting video nevertheless
My personal theory about Jotaro's hat inspiration, is that it's an reference to Prince's Automatic music video where he wears a similar hat and there's a play with backlight
@@onyourleft9273 a lot of people say it has dragged out fights and some of them have also issues with the ending. I personally love it, especially Jolyne
@@tekary5285 The ending (in my opinion) was the most hype moment in jojo araki subverted my expectations like hell (Spoiler) joot’s deaths made me cry rivers and the fight idk why people think the fights are bad the only one that felt dragged out was that fight ( i forgot the name) but the dude that can reverse gravity (not pucci tho)
@@tekary5285 Here’s my take 1) People speed reading it than pointing out “Araki forgot” which don’t exist (also i think people do this to get to Sbr quicker) 2) People toxic about the ending 3) (pretty much same as 1st) Sbr elistsm there’s probably more but that’s all i can guess off the top of my head
I just love the way you were narrating the whole video. I can clearly feel the excitement in your tone and I definitely appreciate a video that talk about the fashion side of jojo that is not always focused on in the fandom.
"I absolutely adore the use of the Union Jack on Joseph's clothing" *picture of Jonathan* nitpicking aside, really great video. Fashion is one of the most important elements in jojo aside from its actual plot and characters and this is the only video I've seen going over it in detail. I'm surprised it took this long to reach my recommended. good stuff!
Haven’t started yet, but seeing passionate essays about one of the more unique elements from the Jojo’s series is definitely getting me hyped. Fantastic stuff!! 👌
Fun fact: Diavolo and everyone in the Bucciarati team except Mista and maybe Fugo was designed to be a girl, and then Araki said "Fuck it, I make girls in the next part". Same with Kak and Anasui.
WOW!!! The support on this video has blown me away! If you enjoyed it please consider SUBSCRIBING as I'm trying to hit 1000 subs by the end of the year and I've got a new JoJo video in the works coming next month! Also please check out my other content, I have improved a lot since this video and I think you will be able to see that. Thank you again for the amazing support on this video!!!
I just think it's funny how nobody ever told him what bullets actually look after being fired until he gets it right when jotaro tries to shoot himself but after that they go back to being wrong
I appreciate you calling out the musical references. It would have been great if you got more specific about the influence of how characters are portrayed in music videos of the early 1980s, also heavily influenced by abstract art and fashion. Get to the 00:18:00 point in the video for Elton John’s “I’m still standing” and you’ll see Jotaro’s character influences. 🙂
Too bad during a another video that judges character design Crymetina critiques they didn't know any of the characters so they either skip characters or the style choices didn't made any sense to them they didn't like rohan's pen theme or Anasui's foot patterns what is kind of funny though is because they didn't know any characters they made fun of Johnny for not standing
My only problem with his fashion sense now is that it’s too obvious when someone is a stand user, was there any doubt that Weather Report or Wekapipo were stand users? The Jojolion crew just needed to find the person with the most weird fashion choice to know who the Doctor was
@@thehandrequiemoverheaven7105 you’re right! I meant oyecomova. That still is a part of my criticism because oye’s design is too blatant, same thing with wekapipo. It’s too obvious when looking at them that they will be relevant to the plot
I mean I agree, it's literally a meme (the stand user can be anyone, meanwhile the stand user is wearing a fucking accordian), but I think that's where a combination of suspension of disbelief and what I'm gonna call lack of communication mixed with unique world experience come in. I'm assuming most stand users, with the exception of some, have only met a handful of them in their lives, so they wouldn't automatically assume fashion is the key to finding them out, especially if you're say... in part 5, near Milan where this is legit what people wear sometimes. I would also be willing to believe that kind of outfit is just common in the world. Many people were turned into stand users long after they were wearing that, so it's fair to assume that its common fashion in this world, or better yet, the type of fashion creators they have in this world aren't equal to our world (like how nobody is willing to bring up the fact that stands are named in universe to music artists).
God, I love youtube sometimes! This video was honestly so well-made, insightful, and informative -- as a felow Part 4 lover, your insight into how Part 4 was really the part in which Araki did start to fully embrace his style actually made me think again about why I love that part so much. I do wonder if the Slice of Life subversion that Part 4 employed had anything to do with the definitive change of style, or was rather Araki breaking loose from shonen tradition in more ways than one. I am keeping up with the manga currently so I do encourage you to at some point read SBR. [Implicit PART 6 SPOILER AHEAD] Araki takes fashion to a different standard in SBR and his reimagining of the JoJo Universe, so much that at some point the fashion actually starts to overtake him, and towards the end of SBR a lot of faces start melting together, characters being only distinguished by their unique and exaggerated fashion choices. Not saying this to undermine the series in any way, as I do believe Part 7 is, in the best sense of the word, the definitive JoJo epic, but to emphasize just how much fashion is central to JoJo, so much that characters become mannequins for the clothes they wear. Oh, and if you are a part 4 lover, you'll be happy to know Part 8 is partly a reimagining of part 4 :D
This was a really fun video to watch! It's clear you've done your research and presented the information in a very in a very entertaining way. Keep up the good work :D
This video was amazing! I love fashion and I just finished part 3 and hooo boy, the style of this series is amazing, just like this video, you won a new subscriber 🤠
Oohh you’re so right I found many cool artist and songs because of jojo reference I learned some wacky but fashionable poses when we’re taking a picture too LOL Glad you chose jane for the jojo pose video👌💖
Even looking at Araki’s progression through his multi-decade spanning career, I need to calm down and just understand that as long as I implore the the references I want in the drawings I do, then one day, just maybe.
Amazing video !! I never thought someone could put this into words. You did mindblowing work with this one. You absolutely know what youre talking about. Great, truly a man of culture you are, greetings from a fashion enthusiast in germany.
Actually in phantom blood the reason why the characters are so unbelievably huge with muscles is due to the 80’s films that involved muscular men like Arnold Schwarzenegger and that guy who played Rambo (I forgot his name)
Araki Is Seriously Way A-Head Of His-Time, When It Come’s Too Many Thing’s, A Major Thing Being Fashion . An Inspiration, He-Is.......................................................................
i just want to say that this is genuinely one of my favorite/one of the best videos on this platform. my opinion doesn’t exactly matter but good work. ❤️
Glad to see someone giving some acknowledgement to kars, he gets forgotten a lot but imo he is a very early example of the androgyny that JoJo would come to be known for in later parts. Also unique to see the feminine aspects like the dangly earrings/eyeshadow were on that overly masculine body type because he hadn't changed the way he drew bodies yet. Shame you hadn't read 7 & 8 when you made this video, cause I think that has some of the best costume design stuff in it, but I'm sure you'll appreciate it if/when you get there ^^
Ok I'm only a few seconds into this video but the fact that you managed to fit a genuine criticism of copaganda in childrens media into a "It was me dio" joke has gained you a subscriber. Also I found this channel through the xdf fashion guy
