Your voice doesn't put me to sleep, but the monotone and the measured, slower delivery makes for the perfect complimentary narration for the stories you put on this channel.
If you’ve followed him long enough you’d appreciate the way he talks now so much more! Lol it used to be soooooooooooo much slower that it made it hard to listen for me. I listened anyway tho.
I use this channel to sleep. I listen to the story again later anyway. Its funny cause i remember some parts of it. My friends say im psycho for this habit
Shame on those so-called detectives for trying to blame that poor kid for his parents' murders! Incomprehensible. We're they using crack?? Despicable buffoons.🤬 I'll always wonder how those two fishermen could just let poor little Jared keep on all alone. Hold him there for a sec just to make sure there are people with him.😣 So sad. Pretty much nobody seemed to realize he was only 3! That first one was a heartbreaking one as well. Such a handsome, hardworking and decent young man. Thank you CL. Stay safe🙏💔
If you want to be even more enraged, look into the 1998 murder of Stephanie Crowe in California USA. Her brother was tormented like the boy in this case and made to believe he'd murdered his little sister in some kind of a blackout rage. The videos of him sobbing over her death while being questioned by police is maddening and horrifying.
another story, although not a child, but the man had severe mental disability.. its on the show forensic files which is on youtube episode is called : fishing for the truth....its how i picture them berating that poor kid
Apalling that an 8 year old would be Interrogated like this. Despite an entire reality of evidence and common sense. No wonder there are many unsolved murders.
Few outcomes here are more gratifying than knowing that, after being bullied into that bogus confession, Dean Nimer was cleared of being crazy, given back to his family, and grew up to have a college degree, a good job, TWO marriages, and children. If living well is the best revenge, then he has thoroughly avenged himself on those "cops."
Why was he even on that trial when he was only 3 years old hiking is risky even for experienced hikers but at least they are adults who can make their own decisions and are aware of the risks beforehand but this was only a 3 year old child who should never have been put into such an environment in the first place.
It was definitely very stupid of his father to let him go basically alone with only a sister who was just a few years older. My son is 4 and I would never send him alone on a hike or anywhere. It baffles me how ignorant some parents are.
Originally the group was supposed to only take Jarryd to a fish hatchery, the group took him on the hike without asking his dad, missing persons mysteries goes into story more,I think the people in that group know more than they said mmmm
I love these. Don’t get me wrong; yes it’s pretty bad that they’re unsolved but I like looking at the CL videos with updates on cases previously mentioned here. Hopefully these cases get featured on future update videos; many of the older videos with unsolved cases on CL are brought up again and solved :)
Wow, they wanted to close a case so badly they made an 8yo confess to it? An 8yo who had gone through trauma of being witness to his parents being murdered. Fuck.
A 3 yrs old is too young to go hiking without parents especially in a vast mountainous area, so sad but I honestly think he was kidnap than murder later.
@@absolutnadia That's actually a good point. The more i thought about just how many people were there and yet. No one? Saw anything it all? If they can't account for each person let alone a little boy. Its definitely a possibility. We are always told to stay in a group. But it never occurs to us that one, in said group can do us harm....
I agree, but it was a different world 23 years ago. And his father probably thought with the sister there it be ok. Of course I would have assumed that any adult would have had the kid right next to them at all times and not allow him to run ahead of the group. Many commented that the original group he was with should have been looked at much closer, and I agree. It's possible it was 1 of the adults in the group who committed this crime.
@@cannpdx781 I do understand what you’re saying. But as a child of the 70s, my mother watched me like a hawk. She either sat on our front porch reading or sewing as I played with friends; or I played in a gated back yard with tall fence (approximately 7 ft). During the Atlanta Child Murders, my mom monitored me far worse! Now this may have been because I was and am the only child. So I get your rationale. But I myself am just like my mom when it comes to my kids and those who are in my care.
@@lianalonge1984 as you should be and I agree, it's very scary all the threats to our children. I hate to sound sexist, but I'm sure the children's mother would never have allowed them to go. There is truth to the idea mom's see things differently them dads. I grew up in a rural Florida area, lots of stuff to harm children, and my mom was the same as your mom. But I had friends who I can't believe survived childhood with all they went and did with no adults around. I'm not criticizing anyone's idea of keeping close watch on their children. Today we even have the phrase FREE RANGE PARENTING lol..which boggles the mind.
@@kschristy7 I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just stating that I'm sure he never believed something bad could occur. But he paid the highest price for his bad judgment and it was bad judgment in hindsight. The articles I've read never mention the childs mother at all. I'd be curious to read her opinion on the decisions made that day.
That poor baby Jared ♥️. It seems likely he was abducted and killed by a person and then taken back and dumped there, in the hopes that if anyone found him, they'd just assume it was a mountain lion. How terrible.
A life assurance policy on someone is a dead giveaway seriously how would you think you do something like that without raising suspicions my mind boggles.
That last case is infuriating….I cannot imagine the further trauma they inflicted on that poor boy with that foolishness. I don’t know how some of these detectives keep their jobs.
It was ridiculous what those detectives did to that poor boy. Not only witnessing their deaths he was tricked in to saying that he did it. I hope those detectives live painfully regretful lives but I highly doubt it because that would mean they had a conscience.
His dad actually didn't give permission for them to take him hiking. they had permission to take him to a fish hatchery and they just changed their mind. They went ahead and took him hiking and then no one even bothered to watch him
Not so fast! Your average or higher aptitude test results indicate that you are capable of nuanced, rational thought. The academy has no room for independent thinkers among its ranks. We have decided to pursue other candidates whose low intellect more closely aligns with the objectives of our police force.
The mountain lion theory makes complete sense, actually. Any park/forest ranger in the continental US will tell you that you should NEVER let children or petite people walk on their own specifically because they look like food to mountain lions.
I am 2 years late to this comment but if it was a mountain lion how does that explain the lack of blood and no tears on the childs clothes consistent with an attack ? It seems like the child was naked around the time he died which suggests he was stripped off his clothes which i know no animal would be able to do….
The first case is so sad. I can’t imagine what the motive was unless it was life insurance. Has to be. And he married her and tried his best to help her and she killed him. Unless there is a lot more I don’t know about this case, it’s awful what she did to him. Also, There are several great podcasts on the second case. I think it’s also on the Missing 411 movie. The first one. (I’m not saying the Missing 411 guy is right about everything so don’t come at me about him. I know he’s controversial. I watched the movie. I’m capable of drawing my own conclusions. I wish everyone was.😩)
1950s police logic. Let's just be lazy and set up an 8-year-old who just lost BOTH of his parents to an intruder. He doesn't know that he needs a lawyer to protect him when we make up a ridiculous story, because we are morally bankrupt. New York was not a good place to live in back then, it was quite obvious.
Lol I've been one of those commenters...his voice is so soothing that I've played his videos in the background so I could fall asleep... not that I don't enjoy the videos but they serve a dual purpose😂😂
I was like"how could he do 2 in one day???" But I forgot it was his paranormal channel I watched. Love his humor. I feel bad...I don't know his first name...what on earth is it???
Those sorry cops put that child through hell after he lost his parents. Those poor children bless their souls and bless their parents souls may the parents rest in peace.
Dear Sir, THANK YOU so very, very much for going back to the original music in this video!! Your narration style, plus the content and the pleasant, yet eerie music- Absolute perfection!!
The story of little Jarrod breaks my soul 🌈 🦋 , R.I.P Jarrod baby 🙏 I pray for his family and loved ones , I pray his family find some peace in this short life 😞😢😞, I pray for all victims in this video 🙏 🌷💕
Anyone who has had children or been around children know. Little short legged people move quickly and are quite agile. It seems more likely little Jayred got lost. In the elements. He probably removed his own clothes due to hypothermia. It is said the body will get warm to protect itself. Its doubtful anyone took him. While there are people hiking and fishing.. It seems a bit of a stretch that anytime a child vanishes in the woods. A predator just happened to be lurking knowing a child will break free at that moment. At that location! After four years in the elements. His bones will be scattered by wind, rain and critters. As did his clothing. Not every disappearance is an abduction. Police back in the 40s and 50s were not experienced in forensics nor evidence gathering. Once in awhile one might have foresight and preserve an item or blood. It's not surprising they bullied this child into confession. Its how they conducted interviews then. Happily he was able to move on and build a life.
And if not for the shoes I would agree, also although not mentioned in this video. The FBI arrived and that was highly unusual. I've read much on this case and just when you come to a conclusion?? Something won't add up. There is no reasonable explanation that a pair of shoes out in the mountains for 4 years would look brand new. I personally believe the individual responsible kept the shoes as trophies, then later decided it was too risky and returned and placed them there. Everyone in the church group should have been looked at much closer as well as the 2 men who found the clothes.
@@cannpdx781 I understand children running ahead. But I have to agree.. Perhaps the group should have been looked at closer. With so many in the group and his sister. It baffles me. I know not all siblings are the same. But my boys and now grandsons stuck together. If not running and playing. Or to see what the other is up to. In other situations where children and adults vanished in forests or woods. Clothes. Including shoes are discarded and they keep walking. It is odd that the shoes were in better condition than the clothes. The clothes were in pretty bad shape. I can accept someone keeping them as souvenirs then discarded them. But why in the same general area? Why not a trash can, to go all the way back to the same area seems a bit extreme.
You do put me to sleep, but I still rewatch the videos the next day! It’s all my anxiety can handle. So thank you for making videos. You don’t know how much it helps me with my insomnia.
Whenever I hear the last story in this video, I’ve always wondered if the cops knew who it was and, in an attempt to cover for them, they (successfully) tried to pin it on Dean. It’s the perfect cover. Especially in the 50s before there were any advancements in criminal science. Whether it’s due to laziness or criminal conduct on behalf of the cops, that probably happened all the time back then. Thank God for advancement in criminal science.
Your voice is why I listen. I love true crime and can’t imagine the work put into these shows, but your close is what drew me in. It’s extremely intriguing.
All my favorite narrators help me sleep. I usually rewatch video the next day just in case I missed anything. I like it dark but need sound while going to sleep.
Could be possible that since 4 years elapsed from his disappearance to the discovery of his remains, Jaryd could have been abducted, stripped, murdered, and left for the animals to clean up. It's almost impossible to say what animals would have feasted on the remains as I'm sure if not a mountain lion, then many species of bugs and omnivores would have been on that body within hours.
Thank you for restoring the music and intro. It's one of the central points of your channel. The atmosphere is unmatched. You're one of my favorite youtubers.
I feel so bad for every child featured in these cases. What kind of human being bullies an 8 year old into confessing to a murder? When these incidents happen, I always wonder why police do this? Is it because they feel pressure to solve the case, do they face some kind of reprimand for not solving it? Or do they want the clout for solving it? Then there are the cases where the suspect is clearly guilty, and will even commit the same crime over and over, and police do nothing. We always seek to understand the mind of a killer, but equally fascinating is the mind of a detective.
Your voice doesn't put me to sleep. I like to sleep to your voice. I find it soothing plus the music. Although, it gives me chills sometimes depending on the story.
The kid in the first case who shot and killed a child in the playground was charged six years ago with possession of child pornography. RIP Jeremy Bullock.
Wow, I have never heard Jaryd’s case explained as well as you did. I 100% agree that if an animal attacked him that there would be blood on his clothes. It’s clear that someone, not something, took his clothes off and time is what weathered them. I think someone kidnapped him off that trail that day.
I’m no perfect dad and I’m as capable of stupid parenting fails as anyone, but Jaryd’s dad should have been ashamed of himself. Taking your kids to a camp to work and then letting them at ages 3 and 6 go on a hike? Without him? Real Dad of the Year stuff there.
It took me a while to get used to your voice. And now, yes, I fall asleep to it. Hahaha! My daughter thinks I’m insane because I fall asleep listening to murder stories. 🤷🏼♀️
